Biltmore: A Sacrificial Grove?

Is the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina simply a grove for human sacrifice? What sorts of torture and indignities occurred in its so-called basement swimming pool? Why are there kitchens located next to the pool? Why doesn’t the estate publish a list of its esoteric library holdings?
