Is the US Government controlling Hurricane Milton? Milton is now a Category 5 storm with striking similarities to Hurricane Helene. The storm is expected to hit the Gulf Coast of Florida as early as 1 a.m. Wednesday, although the full brunt won’t be felt until later Wednesday morning and afternoon.
