DeSantis Dips Below 20%

Talking Politics’ Larry Schweikart reports that Donald J. Trump has broken the 55-percent mark in the most recent GOP Presidential primary polls. Meanwhile, fellow candidate Ron DeSantis has cratered to less than 20 percent.

Scweikart, author of Reagan: The American President, said this spells bad news for DeSantis. “Once you hit 55 percent, it’s really insurmountable,” he says. Larry Schweikart, best-selling author and history professor at the University of Day, says religious tolerance was an ideological revolution created by the Puritans and pre-1776 Americans. He presents his case in this edition of Prager University.

Religious Tolerance in the West

There’s no argument that religious tolerance is a given in the West. Says University of Dayton history professor and author Larry Schweikart, “It’s not an exaggeration to say that America, where people of all faiths are free to worship or not worship as they please, invented modern religious tolerance.” But some historians suggest that this was the result of a historical aberration fraught by the Puritans and pre-1776 Americans. Schweikart dissects the historical significance of this issue in this edition of Prager University.
