AG William Barr Leaving
William Barr will be leaving the Attorney General’s post by Christmas. President Donald Trump announced the departure Monday in a Tweet. More from martinbrodel.
The Dark Journalist Daniel Liszt predicted the resignation of Attorney General William Barr about a month ago on November 20. Here, he discusses the implications of the resignation, particularly as it relates to President Donald Trump’s efforts to transfer many of the duties formerly performed by the CIA. Now, those tasks will be assumed by military intelligence, under Ezra Cohen-Watnick. Also, beginning Jan. 5, 2021, the Pentagon will withdraw supplying support for the CIA.
In addition, the Dark Journalist does some election results analysis. He believes neither Joe Biden nor Trump has a clear grasp on 270 electoral votes. The Dark Journalist believes this could be an election decided upon by the U.S. House. If so, the Republicans hold more states than the Democrats, meaning Trump could still win.
