Trump May Have Ukraine Deal
President Donald Trump took it on the chin this week but that didn’t stop him from working. On Thursday, he met at the White House behind closed doors with a special envoy from Russian President Vladimir Putin and announced afterwards that they might have a deal on the works to end the Ukraine War.
The envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, had come to Washington at the invitation of Melania Trump and met with Ukraine officials as part of the visit. Trump declined to be specific about any of the language or terms of the deal, saying those must remain undisclosed at this junction.
Here, Trish Regan breaks down what the deal might involve, taking educated guesses on what remains under wraps. Regan also discusses “what I’ll be watching for from Moscow and Kyiv. Could this be the first sign of a breakthrough?”
