FBI Director Christopher Wray again drew the ire of the White House last week, telling Congress that Russia is still active in influencing the 2020 presidential election and denigrating Democrat nominee Joe Biden. Wray has previously drawn sharp attention from the Trump Administration, proclaiming that he didn’t think the President was spied on, and said on another occasion that Antifa was a movement, not an organization.
The latest revelation in Wray’s ever-growing list of breaking ranks with the Trump Administration, has led the President to formulate a short list of candidates to replace Wray. Newsmax TV’s Emerald Robinson is reporting that among the surprising names on the list is that of Sidney Powell, former U.S. Attorney and general counsel for ex-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
Appearing on Newsmax’s “John Bachman Now,” Powell says Robinson’s report was the first she’s officially heard of her name on a short list and added, “I’ve seen comments on Twitter and I’m honored to be considered for it. I can only imagine the number of people in Washington and elsewhere that would need laundry service upon that announcement.” Here’s more with Bachman and Powell.
