Property, Law = Prosperity

There’s no arguing that the United States is the most powerful and prosperous country in the world. So, asks investigative reporter John Stossel, why hasn’t the power to prosper spread to other nations. Gridlock is Good

Political commentator and investigative reporter John Stossel unabashedly admits that we’re better off when we have gridlock in Congress. Imagine that.
“Bipartisanship brings us some of our worst laws,” says Stossel. “People say that they hate Congress, and they are right to hate Congress. Debating Crime in America

Urban Institute Senior Fellow John Ronan says crime in America has decreased significantly since exploding in the ’70s and ’80s. “Crime declined in the ’90s, sort of stayed the same in the last decade, and in the last six or seven years it’s declined again, and that story is just not getting told,” Ronan tells investigative reporter John Stossel. A Taxing Migration

As heavier tax burdens across country put the squeeze on hard-working Americans, many of them are voting with their feet and taking their wallets, according to Travis L. Brown, author of How Money Walks. Brown tells John Stossel of Liberty Pen, “We’re looking at the movement of Americans and their income, measured by the Internal Revenue Service data files since 1992 to 2010. ” Brown says majority of the migration is to no income tax states, such as Texas, Nevada and Florida, while heavier-taxed states like California and New York are in a financial tailspin.

Flat Tax is the Answer

Consumer reporter John Stossel says our tax code is so complex that most Americans pay someone for help. The tax code, which dates back to 1913, now is a convoluted monstrosity of  75,000 pages of  rules and regulations sure to drive a tax accountant nuts. The solution–a flat tax.
