Defending The Constitution

Is Constitutional literacy fading in America? Are American schools failing our young people? According to Fox News contributor Gregg Jarrett, the answer is a full-throated, no doubt about it Yes!

Appearing on the Sara Carter podcast, Jarrett says recent polling shows young people do not even have a basic understanding of Constitutional principles like checks and balances, separation of powers, the amendment process and other key aspects of our Constitution.

He elaborates and discusses his new book, The Constitution of the United States and Other Patriotic Documents, explaining how the Constitution and other key documents in our history created the America we know today.

Court Voids Calif. Power Grab

It looks like the courts have finally caught up with the California power grab. A California judge has issued a court order declaring that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s executive orders were unconstitutional in that they exceed the authority of the California Emergency Services Act and California Constitution.

The essence of the ruling is that Newsom, in issuing the orders, far exceeded his authority as governor, violating the separation of powers between the judicial, executive and legislative branches. The decision will become final if after 10 days none of the parties notify the judge of anything they take issue with in the ruling. Viva Frei breaks down the decision further.
