Are There Prophets Today?
Those who read The Bible know of the importance of prophets. But are there prophets nowadays.
Praying Medic believes so, and recites from the Book of Ephesians in the New Testament.
Here is Part 2 of BLK SHP Bible Talk’s exploration of “giants” in The Bible.
This time we’re looking at a different word entirely, Rephaim, not Nephilim, and tracing it all the way from Genesis 14 through Deuteronomy, Og’s kingdom, Goliath’s family line, and the ancient city of Ugarit.
Along the way, I’ll explain why I don’t think Goliath was part angelic, why the real darkness surrounding these nations was never about their bloodline, and why that same darkness might still be closer to your own life than you’d expect.
I also address the pushback from Part 1 directly, including where I land on Michael Heiser’s own research on the word Nephilim. If you missed Part 1, we ran it last Sunday, Sept 13, so you can easily scroll back to view it.
Ancient precision laser technology is the only way to explain ancient craftsmanship that seems impossible even today.
Using the tools we have now and sophisticated computers, we couldn’t reconstruct many unbelievable relics from the past. Did the ancients have technology that was forgotten or was it covered up so we don’t know about it? There is proof nanotechnology was once used.
Join Ben Chasteen and Rob Counts on this Edge of Wonder Live as they expand your consciousness and look back into our forgotten past.
Walking the Ridgeway, Great Britain’s oldest road, I tried something a little different: John of Gaunt’s “Sceptred Isle” speech from Richard II.
Shakespeare wrote these words more than 400 years ago, but the lament for England could have been written this morning.
The things one does in one’s spare time. I should probably go away and film it properly. Here’s more from Dominic Frisby.
For most of my life, I believed exactly what you probably believe right now. The Bible describes real giants, and the word “giant” means exactly what it sounds like. Big. Tall. Simple. Then I actually went and looked at the Hebrew. And the Greek. And I found something I wasn’t expecting, and honestly wasn’t looking for. This is Part 1 of a two part deep dive into Biblical giants, going further than I think anyone on YouTube has gone with this topic. In this video, we cover:
I’m not here to tell you giants did or didn’t exist. I’m here to give you the actual words, the actual history, and the actual text, so you can land wherever the evidence takes you. Part 2 is coming next week, where we get into Rephaim, Og’s bed, Goliath’s real height according to the Dead Sea Scrolls, and what I think all of this actually means.
Here’s more from BLK SHP Bible Talk. We will present the second part next Sunday, so come back then if you’re eager to see the rest of the saga.
After years of searching, a team of Italian archaeologists believes they found the true tomb of Jesus Christ.
The site matches the description in the Bible, and no body was found in the tomb. It was discovered under the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
Atlantis: An ex-Navy admiral may have found evidence of the lost city of Atlantis in the Atlantic Ocean after scans of the seabed were made, allowing for the creation of highly detailed maps. Here’s more from Ben Chasteen and Rob Counts on a new edition of The Edge of Wonder Live.
What started as me asking “why is this Archbishop holding a human skull?” turned into one of the wildest Morbid Monday rabbit holes yet. 💀
That skull is believed to belong to Saint Agatha, who died nearly 1,800 years ago—and somehow, the skull isn’t even the most unhinged part of this story. We’ve got ancient relics, stolen remains, an active volcano, traveling boobs, and a 900-year-old homecoming. Here’s more from Lauren the Mortician.
The Six Finger Giant DNA Has Been Found (& Elongated Skulls).
DNA is providing us many new answers about the lives of the Neanderthals and Denisovans. Here’s more from Dan Richards on DeDunking.
Glenn Beck sits down with author and explorer Timothy Alberino to discuss the origin and narrative implications of the Book of Enoch. This is a book that Jews and Christians in Ethiopia considered one of the original canons of The Bible.
The book touches upon demons, giants and watchers as it presents the story of ancient angels that transgressed against God, and came down upon the Earth to marry human wives. There are references in the Books of Daniel and Jude, suggesting elements from this story. Is it truthful or apocryphal? How should we look upon it nowadays?
What happens when the biggest city in North America suddenly falls silent… centuries before Europeans ever arrive?
In this video, we dive into the mystery of Cahokia: a massive Mississippian city near present-day St. Louis that exploded in size around 1100 AD, built monumental earthworks like Monks Mound and Woodhenge, ruled vast trade networks across the continent… and then was abandoned.
Was Cahokia destroyed by climate change, resource collapse, warfare, disease, political chaos, or a crisis of belief?
We explore the latest archaeology, environmental evidence, and Indigenous histories to reveal how a thriving metropolis in the Mississippi Valley rose to power—and why its people ultimately walked away. If you’re interested in ancient North America, lost cities, archaeology, or the real history of pre-Columbian civilizations, this video will change how you think about the past. Here’s more from Sleepy Time Origins.
