Great Wave Through Milky Way

There’s a “great wave” rippling through our Milky Way, and a new Jane Goodall Mandela Effect. Hear all this and more on Edge of Wonder Live.

The massive wave that’s surging through our Milky Way is propelling thousands of stars across the galaxy. Spanning over 65,000 light years, this phenomenon has scientists puzzled about its cause. Could this cosmic wave be the “hand of God” or celestial sign we’ve all been anticipating? What is the “dark energy” accelerating the universe’s expansion?

Meanwhile, strange events are unfolding simultaneously: The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, ongoing drone sightings worldwide, members of Congress openly discussing different types of aliens, reports of a UFO crashing underwater, and a growing spiritual awakening across the globe.

Following the recent passing of Jane Goodall, Ben Chasteen discovered an intriguing Mandela Effect, or “Bendela Effect,” tied to her death and the film Gorillas in the Mist. Also hear Rob Counts’ Metaphysical Minute segment about Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin being caught on a hot mic talking about immortality.

The Great Attractor

There is something happening in space right now that can affect our existence and we can’t do anything about it. We are slowly sucked toward The Great Attractor, which is the gravitational center of the Laniakea supercluster, home to the Milky Way and thousands of other nearby galaxies.

What is the Great Attractor? One theory is that it’s a confluence of dark energy, another is that it might be caused by over-density, which possesses an intense gravitational pull. The phenomena was first discovered in the 1970s, when scientists made a detailed map of the cosmos. NASA calls it The Great Unknown and it inhabits every corner of the farthest reaches of our cosmos. Here’s more on The Lost History Channel TKTC, with host BuzWeaver.

2020 Not So Bad For Science

While 2020 left a lot to be desired for many of us, it wasn’t such a bad year in science. Last year, scientists found ludicrously fast stars, ancient galaxy clusters and developed a camera that could change how we study the night sky.

The fast star–S4714– was perhaps the most intriguing discovery. It was spotted at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy traveling ludicrously fast, like 85 millions kilometers per hour, or 8 percent the speed of light. A star that fast could leave Earth on a Monday and arrive at Pluto on a Wednesday night. Tune in to more discoveries in this episode of SciShow.
