Navy Battles Fallen Angels?

Navy SEALS may have encountered the Fallen Angels. Steven Bin-Nun from Israeli News recounts the encounter that occurred in the icy and arid expanses of Antarctica.

Bin-Nun reads from scriptural text as well as the Book of Enoch, and also draws from ancient philosophers, including Pliny the Elder, to set the stage for this story.  But the main thrust involves the Fallen Angels,with fiery bodies, battling the Navy SEALS. Are there still earthly wars revolving around these figures with their celestial powers? How has the Pope and Eastern Orthodox leaders become involved in trying to negotiate peace?

The Elixir Of Life

The elixir of life, or what alchemists call the philosopher’s stone, has many names and allegedly cures any disease, granting the drinker immortality. This fountain of youth was sought after by many cultures through the ages and is mentioned in various ancient works. Here, Robert Sepehr delves into aphrodisiacs, like oysters, as well as more rarified substances, including human blood. Sepehr is an author and anthropologist.

Before there was Google, there were encyclopedias. The very idea of these vasat collections of knowledge can be credited to Pliny The Elder. So who was he, and why does he seem to pop up everywhere from Alchemy to Zoology? Hank Green has the story in this edition of SciShow: Great Minds.
