Don’t Touch It!

If you see a coin lying on top of a veteran’s gravestone, don’t touch it. The coins left by visitors — pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters — all have meaning, and reflect the thoughts and prayers of the visitors, especially those from the veterans’ families and circles of friends. Obama Dumps Shinseki

After diddling and dawdling for months, and with his proverbial back against the wall, President Barack Obama fired beleaguered Veterans Administration Secretary Eric Shinseki amid one of the worst scandals of the administration that has now penetrated 42 facilities across the country. The swift announcement was welcomed by U.S. veterans, many of them suffering unheard of delays in medical care. Fox News’ Bret Baier is joined by the heavyweight analyst trio of Charles Krauthammer, A.B. Stoddard and George Will as they dissect the VA shakeup.

Death Panels Have Arrived

Dick Morris says Obamacare officials will soon meet to begin truncating and limiting care for the elderly. To put it in simple terms, the Affordable Care Act death panels have arrived. “A heart surgery, or liver transplant or any of the important things we need to keep us alive will be rationed based on whether or not we are citizens, not on whether we contributed to Medicare with our tax money, not on whether we’re veterans who defended this country, but the number of QALYs (quality adjusted life years)  we have remaining.” Tune in as Morris explains.

Military Under Friendly Fire

Why do we disrespect the treatment of our very military that preserve, protect and defend our Constitution and the freedom of all Americans? Wild Bill not only places the blame on renegade Democrats, but also in recent years, on John Boehner Republicans.

Says Wild Bill, “Now days they’ve toned down their self-righteous bigotry because they learned that veterans vote. So now they praise veterans in public but take action to hurt them behind close doors.” Check out this edition of Wild Bill for America as Wild Bill explains.

VA Failing Injured Vets

Thousands of patriotic veterans who sustained injuries in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have returned home unsuspectingly to begin another battle–with the Department of Veteran Affairs. Although the Veterans Administration has promised injured vets adequate care and financial compensation in a timely manner, it has been unable to fulfill the promise.

“Quite frankly, most people don’t know VA has received more than 800,000 disability claims from Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans, and Congress and VA planned for zero,” says Paul Sullivan, former VA program analyst. Join Reason TV’s Todd Krainin as he reports how the lapse in care is causing emotional and financial ruin for the veteran community.

Flagging Down the Truth

Alfonzo Rachel discusses how the mainstream media has ignored how the Obama administration has ignored and ridiculed our veterans, while quickly jumping  at an opportunity to link the Confederate flag to the Tea Party. “The problem is, is that this administration is able to get away with the things that hurt you and American people in general, because of things like this (Confederate flag),” Rachel opines, “which gives them leverage of accusing you of being racist, which hurts your credibility.”  Rachel fleshes out the cultural dilemma in this edition of ZoNation.

Hitting the Debt Target

President Barack Obama’s persistent refusal to acknowledge that raising the debt ceiling will raise the national debt, has at least one financial commentator in a frenzy. “The president again, is he lying or is he just a moron,” says Peter Schiff, who produces a financial show on Internet radio. “He (president) says that if we raise the debt ceiling, it doesn’t give us more debt, it just let’s us pay for things like Social Security, or veterans benefits or the greatest military in the world. How? How do we pay for all those things? With debt, by issuing debt, by borrowing money.” Schiff further explained that the debt ceiling is more of a debt target. The more you hit the target, the more you move it back, he says. Take in the rest of his rant in this edition of The Peter Schiff Show.

What’s a Government Shutdown?

What does a government shutdown really mean? It’s not all it’s cranked up to be, says political pundit Dick Morris. “We really misunderstand the concept of a government shutdown. It does not shut down the government. We just call it that,” says Morris. “What it does is shut down those activities which are governed by discretionary spending that’s voted by Congress each year. The entitlements, Social Security, Medicare, veterans benefits, food stamps, welfare, disability all go on getting paid because they are not governed by the funds that Congress appropriates annually.”
