The First Domino Has Fallen
There are at least eight, maybe as many as 10, U.S. Senate races that will be decided by less than five points. That includes races in Texas, Michigan, Maine, most likely North Carolina, Georgia, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Ohio, Kansas and Iowa as well. But it now appears one of the razor-tight races in the 2026 midterm elections has already been lost by the Democrats — the race in Alaska, where the Democratic candidate Mary Peltola is trying to upset incumbent Republican Dan Sullivan.
Members of Peltola’s staff pulled a fast one, a bit of chicanery aimed at confusing voters and siphoning Sullivan’s votes away through trickery. These Democratic staffers convinced another man named Dan Sullivan to get on the ballot to draw away votes intended for the incumbent. This imposter might have been handsomely paid, meaning he could be headed for jail.
One big problem for Peltola? The New York Times ran a major expose, calling attention to the crass attempt to cheat. CNN piled on as well. Normally these mainstream media outlets let this kind of Democratic monkey business go without any reporting whatsoever. But the administration of President Donald Trump has been lambasting these outlets as “fake news,” so they are under considerable pressure to be more even-handed in their reporting. This is doubly so in this case, as U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche has made clear he is investigating and it likely to hand down election fraud charges in this case of the twin Sullivans.
What will be the result? Whether she faces a heinous fraud charge or not, Peltola, who previously served as a U.S. House member from Alaska, is likely headed toward defeat. And the fallout from this scandal will extend beyond Alaska.
In all of the close Senate races mentioned above, RINO Republicans and true independents now got fresh notice: The Democrats are blatant and corrupt fraudsters who cheat every opportunity they get. This glaring example will cost that party across the entire nation. With a lot of close races looming, let’s hope that several more dominos fall! Here’s more from Steve Turley.
