Before COVID-19, the fallacy of climate change was the big crisis facing our planet. And, rest assured, that once the coronavirus disappears, global warming will once again be king of the hill.
Climate change fearmongers proclaim the planet is on fire or it will lead to the collapse of our civilization. And this comes from educated dudes who are totally serious! It’s unpopular to question their narrative, but that doesn’t prevent ClimateDepot.com founder Marc Morano to do so anyway.
People try to shut Morano up, like the time he gave a lecture–or attempted to–at Georgetown University to question climate change narratives. Students honked horns to drown him out. Says Morano, “They can’t handle dissent.” He blames that on indoctrination that starts in grammar school and by the time they get to high school, they’re not even aware that there’s any scientific dissent.
Morano elaborates on the issue, as he takes some pushback from investigative reporter John Stossel.

Carnivorous plants are rare and only develop in certain habitats, but they are perhaps the most intriguing example of flora on the planet. So fascinating that Charles Darwin published an entire book on them in 1875 after a decade or more of research. It would take another 100-plus years before scientists could propose a definition of what counts as a carnivorous plant.
There are essentially two things that a plant has to do to be considered a carnivore: First, it has to have the ability to take in nutrients from dead prey and secondly, the plant has to have at least one adaptation that actively lures in, catches or digests its prey. But because this is nature, there are always exceptions to these rules.
So one of the nagging questions facing scientists is how and why does botanical carnivory keep evolving? It turns out that when any of the basic things that most plants need aren’t there, some plants can adapt in unexpected ways to make sure they thrive. Host Kallie Moore takes a deeper look into specifics and tells us how plants became carnivores in this episode of PBS Eons.

We have said how a series of underground tunnels connect the Finger Lakes region in New York with the Lake Ontario shorelines leading into Canada. This is quite a heavily populated area, encompassing not only Toronto but also Hamilton, Canada. Here is a look at the Canadian extension of the tunnel system — a tunnel veering underground near Hamilton.
As you can see, it has been traversed, as there are bottles and broken shards of glass everywhere. But this is not at all an easy route. The spelunkers — as tunnel or cave travelers are commonly called — have some really tight crevices to maneuver. They make it through, but they can’t always stand. Sometimes, they have to crawl and slither from one passage to another.
We brought up the tunnels because they are a prominent feature of the landscape surrounding the 11 Finger Lakes. Hunter Biden has a tattoo of the Finger Lakes on his back.
The tunnels were part of the Underground Railroad used by escaping slaves during the Civil War years. Later, they were used to transport Canadian rum into the United States during the Prohibition Era. More recently, they have served as conduits for human trafficking as well as the clandestine transport of drugs, weapons and other contraband. More from Caver461.

Next time climate change activists tell you that current weather conditions are unprecedented and harming our planet, the glaciers are telling a different story. Melting glaciers in the Norwegian mountains reveals evidence of a very warm Medieval period, specifically in the Lendbreen Mountain Pass, an important trade route from the Roman Era to the late Middle Ages.
What does this mean? It tells us that today’s conditions are not unprecedented. When you hear about retreating glaciers today translating into doom for mankind, here’s the thing: In the first millennium A.D., there were no glaciers in Norway and people were traveling through forest terrain. Then the glaciers came and they are only now retreating. Dr. John Robson, executive director of the Climate Discussion Nexus and documentary filmmaker, says this suggests, “That it was warmer in the latter part of the Roman warm period and in Norway, at least, in the early part of the Medieval warm period, than it is now.”
Not good news for the climate fearmongers. Tune in as Dr. Robson tells us more about what glaciers and satellites are telling us about past warm periods and the present not-so-scary warm one in this edition of Climate Discussion Nexus.

More young people today than ever before are feeling lost, directionless, and unhappy. Young men, especially, are lacking strong male role models to impart the values that lead to fulfilling lives. Will Witt speaks about overcoming these obstacles at the University of Denver. More from PragerU.

From the tip of Mount Everest to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, elevations on Earth span more than 65,000 feet. These elevations are actually super rare and the vast majority of our planet’s surface falls somewhere in the middle.
Earth’s outer shell is made of two materials, whose different densities and thicknesses give rise to the different levels. And if you wanted further proof, draw the Earth’s elevation on a graph and you get two distinct humps–two levels. Here’s more from MinuteEarth.

When it comes to upward growth, bamboo is the fastest-growing plant on Earth. Some plants can grow 3 feet a day and can rise as tall as a 10-story building in just eight weeks. Find out the key to this incredible growth in this edition of MinuteEarth.
