Out-Of-Africa Theory Debunked

The “Out of Africa” theory is the most widely accepted model of the geographic origin and early migration of anatomically modern humans. It proposes a “single origin” of Homo sapiens in Africa, which then allegedly populated the rest of the world by replacing all other hominins and mutating or evolving into the various races that comprise modern day humanity. This presentation provides a counter-argument. Here’s more from Robert Sepehr, author and anthropologist.

Humans Were Engineered

Do we need a new theory of evolution? Is science real or just a mesh of politicized propaganda? If we were engineered, who assembled our genes? Here’s more from Black Pigeon Speaks.

Survival Of The Sh-ttest

Con artistry and “better living through chemistry.” I base this video around the spectacular FTX crash and Kanye’s trainer Harley Pasternak, but it’s about something more. From Amazing Polly.

Alien Life Will Be Darwinian Life

Evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins says if life is discovered beyond Earth, it will be Darwinian life.

Appearing on London Real, Dawkins says the theory of Darwinism is all about replicating entity and information, such as DNA. He added that life elsewhere in the universe will be strong evidence there is a replicator equivalent to DNA. Here’s more.

A Little Monkey Business

Author and anthropologist Robert Sepehr visits the gorillas at the Los Angeles Zoo as a prelude for his discussion of human evolution. He debunks the theory that mankind originated in Africa and from there spread across the continents to the remaining of the Earth. In other words, Charles Darwin climbed up the wrong tree!

Red Empire Of Ancient World

Robert Sepehr returns with a fascinating account of life in the Copper Age when mankind began to use copper tools and weaponry for the first time. Much of this progress occurred around the Mediterranean Sea and involved the Anatolian peoples, living in the region that’s now encompassed by Turkey.

Sepehr, an author and anthropologist, refutes the theory that mankind sprung up in Africa, before spreading across Europe and Asia, and eventually, Australia and the Americas. Here, he explores his own alternative theories governing the advance of civilization.

Cocktails With Communists

Pick your analogy. The enemy is within?  The barbarians are inside the gate?  Or maybe another? Regardless, communism is here.  And it’s been here… and they’re a domestic enemy more formidable that any foreign enemy we’ve ever faced.

And we know why.  They’re more formidable because, for years we’ve been betrayed… by our government, our media and multiple global entities, both private and corporate.  Foreign interests control Washington DC.

Today we face a warfare like no other in history— a digital world war.  Propaganda has never been easier to disseminate and truth never easier to censor and control.  They’ve managed to brainwash millions of citizens.

And while many are claiming to be “woke”—- the vast majority of Americans are AWAKE.

And now we fight. More from Joe Dan Gorman.

How Plants Became Carnivorous

Carnivorous plants are rare and only develop in certain habitats, but they are perhaps the most intriguing example of flora on the planet. So fascinating that Charles Darwin published an entire book on them in 1875 after a decade or more of research. It  would take another 100-plus years before scientists could propose a definition of what counts as a carnivorous plant.

There are essentially two things that a plant has to do to be considered a carnivore: First, it has to have the ability to take in nutrients from dead prey and secondly, the plant has to have at least one adaptation that actively lures in, catches or digests its prey. But because this is nature, there are always exceptions to these rules.

So one of the nagging questions facing scientists is how and why does botanical carnivory keep evolving? It turns out that when any of the basic things that most plants need aren’t there, some plants can adapt in unexpected ways to make sure they thrive. Host Kallie Moore takes a deeper look into specifics and tells us how plants became carnivores in this episode of PBS Eons.

The Power Of One-Liners

A flurry of one-liner comedians bursts into the lighter side of life this week with their quick wit, featuring such comedic stalwarts as Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg, the immortal Rodney Dangerfield and many others.

Says Wright, “My theory of evolution is that Charles Darwin was adopted!” And the inimitable Rodney Dangerfield counters with, “I met a sexy girl a few weeks ago, worked in a restaurant making hamburgers. She told me she could make a Big Boy in three minutes and boy big in two minutes.” Here’s more in this episode of Laugh Planet.

19 Overlooked Scientists

Scientists and inventors don’t have to be household names to have had a meaningful impact on the world. Take Alfred Lewis Wallace, who developed the idea of evolution by natural selection at the same time as Charles Darwin. In 1858, both of them presented papers on the subject to the Linnean Society of London, the world’s oldest, active biological organization. Then Darwin published On the Origin of Species in 1859 and everybody forgot about Wallace. This episode of “The List Show” on Mental Floss shares the contributions of 19 scientists who have been overlooked for too long.
