The Media’s Pied Piper

If you haven’t figured it out by now, the mainstream (or lamestream) media in our country has a slobbering love affair (thanks to Fox news contributor Bernard Goldberg for the title, which adorns his latest book) with President Obama. As far as they are concerned, he can do no wrong. They proclaim him the New World Messiah, the Anointed One.

Political pundit Joe Dan Gorman of Intellectual Froglegs fame knows all too well of the “he-can-do-no-wrong” mentality the media espouses for our 44th president and pokes a little fun at the worshippers with a clever musical video parody to the song,”I Will Follow Him.” Don’t forget to come on back to LOL next Tuesday for another dose of the lighter side of life.

Come to the USA

Comedian/songwriter Ray Stevens weighs in on the immigration debate with a thought-provoking melody. Stevens sings, “Don’t go hiking and enter Iran, or you may never be heard from again, sneak into China and they’ll call you a spy, and in Mexico, you might face a firing squad. And forget all about going to North Korea, that’s a great example of a bad idea, so when it comes down to it, there’s only one option you got.” The good ol’ USA, of course.
