They’re Afraid Of Secession!

The secession movement is heating up in Canada, especially in the western provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Here, pollster Mark Mitchell from Rasmussem Reports talks with Nadine Ness, the head of United Grassroots.

Her organization has been encouraging everyday citizens to become more involved in Canadian politics, up to and including, exploring the possibility of secession as an independent nation. That latter prospect has the politicians freaking out.

Who Is Actually Winning?

Rasmussen Reports, one of the most reliable of pollsters,  now gives former President Donald Trump an edge over Kamala Harris in winning the 2024 presidential election. Mark Mitchell, head pollster at Rasmussen, says Trump is leading nationally by two percentage points over Harris — 49 to 47 percent. Trump has held a steady lead for several weeks and has seen a small increase in his margins, although the results remain fairly tight.

Mitchell discusses the 2024 presidential campaign on Flyover Conservatives, hosted by the husband-wife team of Stacy and David Whited. What could change the tilt?

Mitchell says Harris could gain a bit if Joe Biden steps down and she accomplishes some surprising results, as President, in October. But he says it’s difficult to foresee how that happens. “I don’t know what moves the needle for Harris,” he notes.

Meanwhile, Trump’s supporters remain skeptical of polls and pollsters, Mitchell confirms. A majority of Americans — some 66 percent — now believe some fraud and cheating is happening in American elections, and a large percentage believes that fraud is widespread. In other words, the federal government has low credibility these days. Same goes for the mainstream media and most corporations, for that matter.
