California Not For Southerners

Etta May, a firebrand comedy character created by Brenda Ferrari of Des Moines, Iowa, splashes onto the lighter side of life with her unique style of Southern stand-up and a bit of disdain for California.

Tune in to the following clip of her recent stay on the West Coast and her inadvertent meeting with Angelina Jolie. Video courtesy of Etta May Comedy.

Hilary Got Wasted

Bill Whittle says it’s happened more times that you can count. Hurricane Hilary, the first hurricane-level storm to strike the West Coast in 84 years, turned into about 24 hours of mild Florida rain.

Whittle is joined by colleagues Stephen Green and Scott Ott to discuss how Hilary got wasted in this episode of “Right Angle.”

Josh Sigurdson reports that the power grid in the United States, both on the West and East coasts, are facing a potential collapse this summer. Meanwhile, in Europe, several countries are facing a doomsday scenario, as Russian gas runs out and will be cut dry. And, Sigurdson says, this is all meant to scare people into compliance and into a new system. Here’s more.

When the Big One Hits

When we think of the “Big One,” we’re talking monster earthquake on the West Coast. Perhaps the most dangerous areas are those surrounding the ominous San Andreas Fault. But the less-famous and equally dangerous Cascadia Fault stretches 700 miles along the West Coast from Vancouver Island to northern California. So what would happen if either of the faults exploded? Top Tenz puts the earthquake dangers in perspective.
