Flights To Venezuela Canceled

Global carriers are abruptly grounding flights out of Venezuela after the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration warned of a “potentially hazardous” security environment over the country.

Reuters reports that airlines including Iberia, TAP Air Portugal, Avianca and Gol have cancelled operations as U.S. forces surge into the Caribbean ahead of possible new action against Maduro’s government. With military aircraft, warships and intelligence activity rising, Venezuela’s skies are turning into one of the world’s most volatile airspaces. Here’s more from the Times of India.

Trump’s Rx To Heal America

President Donald Trump wants to make America whole again. He is righting inequities in foreign trade, in the health industry, and in the skies. The past few days have seen monumental changes designed to do that.

* The new trade agreement with Great Britain is projected to increase American exports by $5 billion, mostly agricultural products like beef and ethanol, but also aerospace equipment, including Boeing jets.

Chuck Yeager Has Flown West

Legendary aircraft test pilot Chuck Yeager, who became the first to break the sound barrier, died this week at 97. In aviation parlance, says fellow pilot and political commentator Bill Whittle, Chuck Yeager has flown west.

Whittle joins Scott Ott and Stephen Green on this episode of “Right Angle” to reflect on this iconic American aviation figure, who clearly had the right stuff.
