Sci-Fi Predicts the Future

While just about everyone from governments to military leaders are employing futurists to forecast what lies ahead, science fiction once–and still does in many cases–ruled the roost. Sci-Fi emerged as a new form of literature during the Industrial Revolution, and the era’s futurists, such as H.G. Wells, Jules Verne and other prolific writers, explored fantastic scenarios depicting new frontiers of human endeavor. Storytellers continued to share their visions of the future into the 20th and 21st centuries, correctly predicting many aspects of the world we inhabit many decades later. Learn more from Ted-Ed.

Nazi Flying Saucers

Two stunning films show German “flying discs” perfected by the Nazis in WWII. If these films are real — and not forgeries — then it’s clear that reports we have heard through the years of flying saucers might actually just be craft perfected by German scientists, technicians and craftsmen brought to America after the war ended, as part of Operation Paperclip. These films were published on YouTube near the end of May by Jeff Rense. We visit his website periodically to read news reports, mostly by Japanese journalist Yoichi Shimatsu, dealing with Pizzagate, Satanists, NXIVM, Jeffrey Epstein and related topics. In other words, all the news the news never prints!

Mars, Germany and the Secret Space Program. While the idea of anti-gravity space flight, or a breakaway German colony on the Moon, or a subterranean UFO base in Antarctica, might all sound like science fiction, what can be said for certain is that they are not new ideas, nor do not seem to be easily explained away. My name is Robert Sepehr, thank you for keeping an open mind.

If anti-gravity and free energy technology exists, as some have claimed, then why is it being kept secret? Could there really be a breakaway civilization that uses such advanced technology, or a secret space force, as some eyewitnesses have claimed. And if so, how would the government go about disclosing any of this, assuming it actually wanted to?

Notice Melania Trump’s fashion sense. Seems inspired by flying saucers, don’t you think?

Blade Runner : Noirchives

To celebrate a Decade of Rage, Razör’s favorite film of all time finally gets the Noirchives treatment: Film Noir and Sci-Fi collide, creating an example of the best of both.

But is it truly Noir? And how did on-set struggles and behind-the-scenes conflict inform this apocalyptic masterpiece?

We need the old Blade Runner. We need the magic. More from Razorfist.

A Buried Sci-Fi Classic

Remember the 1983 film Brainstorm, starring Christopher Walken and Natalie Wood? The last picture with Wood, this Douglas Turnbull film introduced a system that allowed researchers to jump inside people’s minds. Truthstrem Media asks “Why did they try to bury this sci-fi film?” The movie’s tagline: “The Ultimate Experience…The door to the mind is open.”

It’s a Computer Simulation

Philip K. Dick is one of the most thought-provoking writers of all time, and what’s more, MOST OF WHAT HE WROTE CAME TRUE. Here, we take a closer look at his now famous speech of 1977, in which he proclaims our world to be a Computer Simulation.

In my humble opinion, this statement was his interpretation of what he was experiencing, and it isn’t a bad guess. But it is my contingency that this “Dickian” claim is inaccurately received by us, the people living in the 21st century. However, that does not change the fact that Philip K. Dick gave us a profound message in that speech, and others, as well as his novels & short stories…. It is left to us to interpret what in fact that message was. More from Affected Collective.
