From Deplorables To Dress-Up

Following the Democrats’ crushing defeat at the ballot box in 2024, the DNC launched a postmortem to answer a very simple yet surprisingly elusive question: What went wrong?

Their findings? On 70-30 issues, Democrats landed on the 30 side. Their solution?

Democrats aren’t changing their message—they’re just rebranding the mess. From Pete Buttigieg in flannel to Tim Walz playing hunter, the “working-class pivot” looks more like political cosplay.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to connect on issues that actually matter to voters. The bottom line: You can’t fake authenticity—and voters aren’t buying it. Here’s more from Victor Davis Hanson.

Crime Fighters Gone Wild

Never mind the girls going wild. What would happen if a bunch of costumed crime fighters engaged in a no-holds-barred street rumble? It might look a little like this madcap mosh pit. H/T My Disguises

Babes of Burlesque: 57

STELLA CHUU

Burlesque performer and cosplayer extraordinaire, Stella Chuu has a passion for all things geeky — video games, anime, comic books and pop culture. She says the fantasy world of cosplay holds the same appeal for her as burlesque. “Being able to express that I love my body is an exhilarating feeling. I can show people that I am a sexual and powerful being. I am able to become any character that I want. All eyes are on me and I control what they see.”

Based out of New York City, Chuu combines burlesque and cosplay. Here she is in Santiago, Chile.

Costume Party Fail!

Who hasn’t had a toga slip off at a costume party? And how do you drink beer from a keg while wearing a zombie mask? These are common problems, but what if you just don’t grasp the theme of the party, right from the get-go. H/T My Disguises

The Invisible Driver Prank

Rahat the Magician, ever the prankster, created the perfect disguise — a costume that makes him look like a car seat. To test it out, he unveiled his “invisible driver” stunt at a few fast-food restaurants, and recorded the stunned reactions of the employees staffing the drive-thru windows. H/T My Disguises
