Looking in the Wrong Place

The observable universe is jammed with billions of galaxies, which in turn are packed with trillions of stars and who knows how many planets. So wouldn’t you think the chances of intelligent life, other than ourselves, exists in one of these faraway places? Or are we looking in the wrong place?

Minutephysics host Henry Reich says, “Researchers have predicted that the population of most intelligent alien species should be below 20 million individuals; the majority of planets with intelligent life should have less than 80 percent the radius of the Earth; and the individuals of most intelligent alien species should be at least as massive as polar bears.” Where do we find these species? Reich explains in this edition of minutephysics.

Free Speech Under Attack

Fortified by our Constititution and the Bill of Rights, you’d think the United States is well protected from the barrage of political correctness pelting our freedom of speech. Think again. “A generation is being raised not to believe in freedom of speech, but rather that they should have freedom from speech,” says Greg Lukianoff, president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. “This is a threat to pluralism and democracy itself.” Lukianoff adds that it would be fair to say that you’d expect speech to be the most free on our college campuses, where our future leaders are educated. But highly restricted speech codes are now the norm on campus. He explains in this installment of Prager University.

Clinton’s Go-To Defense Zapped

Fox News’ Catherine Herridge is reporting that the waters surrounding Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal just got a bit warmer. Herridge says that Clinton’s go-to defense that she never handled information on her server marked classified just got tossed out the kitchen window. An FBI source, speaking anonymously, said the agency will further determine whether Clinton should have known, based on the quality and detail of the material, that e-mails passing through her server contained classified information regardless of the markings. Herridge details the latest twist in the investigation on this Fox News segment.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: This video is no longer on YouTube so we present a different Fox News video, also with Catherine Herridge, discussing the Clinton emails).
