Time Travel: Myth Or Reality?

Time travel into the future or the past has appealed to the imagination of mankind for centuries. While many may think time travel is an absurdity, some of the world’s most brilliant minds have investigated whether it can already be a reality. The laws of physics say it’s possible. Even legendary theoretical physicist Albert Einstein concluded in his later years that the past, present and future all exist simultaneously, and perhaps in ancient folklore and legend there already exists documented accounts of the phenomena of slipping through time. So is time travel just another myth, or is it possible? Here’s more from The Lost History Channel.

Breaking Down Coulomb’s Law

It’s not a good idea to break laws, but breaking the laws of science is an exception. It’s usually how we make progress. Scientists are always looking for ways to break science laws, because when they break down, they almost always tell us something new about reality. Take Coulomb’s Law–the force between two charged particles–which has been tested successfully for more than 200 years. Scientists continue testing, because if it ever breaks, it could have an enormous impact on what we believe to be true about our universe. Here’s more from SciShow.

Speed of Light Not About Light

The speed of light is often cited as the fastest anything can travel in our universe. While this might be true, the speed of light is the effect and not the cause of this phenomenon. So what’s the cause? This week’s episode of PBS Space Time explains what the speed of light really is and why it’s the cosmic speed limit of our universe.

Einstein’s Quirky Habits

Of all history’s great minds, arguably the master of combining genius with unusual habits was Albert Einstein. He taught us how to squeeze energy out of atoms, so maybe he might be able to teach us a thing or two about how to squeeze the most out of our mortal brains. In this episode of The Story Behind, find out more about the benefits in Einstein’s quirky habits.

The Man Who Corrected Einstein

After Albert Einstein developed the theory of general relativity–a new and more powerful description of gravity–he was using the formula to make predictions willy nilly. Most of the predictions were confirmed by science. But then he plugged the universe into the equation and got a prediction that it was static and unchanging, which was wrong. Enter Russian physicist Aleksandr Friedmann, who claimed that Einstein had erred and put forth that the universe was still expanding. After tossing a few barbs at Friedmann and holding strong to his prediction, Einstein relented and admitted his mistake. Learn the rest of the story from MinutePhysics.

Another Brilliant Einstein

It’s a little-known fact that there was another brilliant mind in the Albert Einstein family. Einstein’s son, Hans Albert, was a scientist in his own right and a decorated professor of hydraulic engineering,  a career his father initially dubbed “a disgusting idea.” The two had a strained relationship throughout most of their lives, but the elder Einstein mellowed later in life when his grandchildren were born. Here’s more from The Story Behind.

The Genius of Dream Weavers

Some of the most incredible discoveries in history are a testament to the importance of sleep and dream recollection. For instance, Paul McCartney came up with the song “Yesterday” in a dream; legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus successfully adjusted his golf swing while dreaming; and Albert Einstein unraveled the Theory of Relativity in a dream. Fact is, dreams are an incredible subconscious tool for solving challenges and problems. Learn more from Video Advice.

Immortality Within Reach

Theoretical physicist Michio Kaku tells us that science’s Connectome Project will soon have the technology to map the pathway of the entire human brain, paving the way for genetic and digital immortality. “It will map all your memories, quirks, personalities, everything digitized,” says Kaku. “And, it will put it on a disc, and for the most part, will put it in libraries.” Imagine visiting a library of the future and conversing with Einstein or Churchill? Kaku elaborates in this episode of Big Think.

Is Free Energy the Keystone?

Did Nikola Tesla unlock simple scientific truths that will provide us all with free energy? Has Trump known the facts since long before he became president? Why is Tesla a figure we should revere much more so than the dark charlatan Aleister Crowley or nuclear scientist Albert Einstein? McAllisterTV unlocks these mysteries as well as seeking to open the door of doors in showing us historic keystones. Stay tuned, buckos! We are all in for the ride of our lives!

What They Don’t Teach

In schools, we all learn about the most famous scientists, from Benjamin Franklin to Albert Einstein. But there’s plenty they don’t teach you about the greats of science. TruthstreamMedia helps fill in the gaps.
