Raging Left: A Party In Decline

The Democrat reaction to the bombing of Iranian nuclear sites exemplified all that’s wrong with the Left today. Suddenly, the same Democrats who cheered Obama’s endless airstrikes were invoking the War Powers Act and demanding congressional approval. Why?

Because this time it was Trump’s America that hit back. Their volatile, inconsistent messaging isn’t new. Victor Davis Hanson unpacks the deeper story behind the chaos of how the Democrat Party has surrendered to its most radical base on today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”

“The Left knows that they are not polling well,” Hanson says. “They know that the party’s base is controlling their narrative, and they know that that narrative supports issues from transgenderism, to an open border, to lax enforcement of criminal statutes, to something like Kabul, abroad, that has no public support. And they’re angry.”

“ Whatever Donald Trump has done to them—and maybe that will be his lasting legacy—he had the ability to expose what used to be Democrats, as absolutely unhinged and nihilistic,” Hanson concludes. “And I don’t think anybody wants any part of them.”

Never Apologize To The Mob

What once was the start of healthy debate is now just as often a catalyst for personal and professional destruction. “The mob” is out to cancel anyone who crosses it. Paris Dennard describes the problem and offers a solution. More from PragerU.

Cancelled In The WOKEplace

Angry mobs have been a staple of protest throughout history, but now the intolerance has invaded the World Wide Web. Repeatedly outraged and vicious toward any dissenting opinion, online mobs are quick to censor and attack. Their goal: to get people who disagree with them fired. John Stossel discusses the issue with Robby Soave, author of Panic Attack: Young Radicals In The Age Of Trump.

The Mainstream Media Censors

The mainstream media is more involved with deception and censorship than actual reporting these days. Jesse Watters on the Fox News’ show Watters’ World and his guests — Ann Coulter and Corey Lewandowski — discuss two prime examples.

In the first, NBC plays fast and loose to distort a President Donald Trump speech in Ohio comparing the two great Civil War generals Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee. NBC cut out the Grant references to make it seem the president was simply praising Lee, the Confederate general. In the second example, CNN is trying to ban the use of the word “mob” to describe radical violent groups like Antifa.

CNN and NBC, clean up your acts, clowns, or get off the American airwaves.

Styxhexenhammer666 joins in the conversation. He says NBC News really messed up by misrepresenting what Trump had to say about Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee. Says Styx, “NBC tried to insinuate that Trump was calling Lee great. His remark was actually about Grant. To be clear, Lee was incredible in the context of strategy and maneuvering.”
