Gay Pride in Lisbon

Black Pigeon Speaks visits a gay pride event in Lisbon. Not half as flamboyant as Sydney. San Francisco or Vancouver, the event is much closer to what Black Pigeon Speaks saw in Tokyo. Is it because the public in Portugal is more circumspect or does the Catholic Church still have some influence across southern Europe?

Pope Francis Defrocked

When in Rome…

Jamie Dlux takes a look at the troubled history of the Catholic Church and the spotty, often poor record of varied Popes in protecting children from priests who are sexually predators. The current leader of the church, Pope Francis, has one of the most horrible track records in this regard. He needs to be disciplined and replaced if the Catholic Church is ever going to begin to reclaim its reputation as a legitimate church body.  As it now stands, the church is an unadulterated disgrace — from top to bottom.

Pope Knew of McMarrick Abuse

J’Accuse! The former US Envoy to the Vatican says the Catholic pope knew of the McCarrick abuse. The disgraced Theodore McCarrick, who served as Archbishop of Washington from 2001 to 2006, stands accused of having sex with adult seminarians.
