100,000 mystery flashes were found in sky photos from the 1950s—and they lined up with nuclear tests.
Caltech’s Palomar Observatory photographed the night sky years before Sputnik. But decades later, researchers scanning them found thousands of star-like lights that appeared in one exposure and vanished in the next. They were not satellites or catalogued stars. What were they?
The timing is the strangest part. Those flashes were far more likely to show up within a day of above-ground nuclear tests, and even more likely the day after.
On some of the same dates, UFO reports spiked, as well, including the 1952 Washington wave.
Were the flashes just plate defects? Nuclear fallout? Sunlight bouncing off something already in orbit? Or something watching the dawn of the atomic age?

Husbands, wives and families of Trump administration cabinet officials have begun moving onto military bases as protection against terrorist strikes. This comes as drug cartels attached to Venezuela and other Latin countries have come under attack for transporting fentanyl into the United States., The cartels have issued death threats, notably calling for the assassination of Pam Biondi, the U.S. Attorney General.
Here, security analyst Juan O’Savin offers his assessment of the state of affairs and the rising tensions, particularly as focuses upon Venezuela. O’Savin notes that Trump specifically called out fentanyl in his talks last week in South Korea with Communist Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
But Venezuela isn’t the only hot corner of the globe. In Sudan, terrorists are stalking women and children, selling them into slavery. O’Savin suggests that President Donald Trump might well lash out against these terrorists. O’Savin says we didn’t start that fire, but “we’re going to put together an end to that bullshit.”
In addition, look for a virtual end coming soon for mail-in ballots. They will only be available in extremely limited cases, say, members of the military serving overseas. ‘Trump is done playing games with people on all of these issues,” O’Savin tells David “Nino” Rodriguez. Otherwise, the two discuss growing indicators that suggest we could see the United States resume above-ground nuclear testing.

Here, Dr. Joseph Farrell presents an altogether different and compelling theory, involving the Nazi scientists that the CIA had brought into the United States under Operation Paperclip, following the end of World War II. Many of these scientists were experts in rocket propulsion and space exploration. The most famous of this group of scientists, Wernher Von Braun, even rose to become director of NASA.
The same day Kennedy was shot in a motorcade on the streets of Dallas, he was scheduled to speak at the Dallas Trade Mart, alongside Lloyd Berkner, an American physicist and engineer who had been a radio operator on Admiral Richard Byrd’s first visit to Antarctica in 1928.
Farrell here suggests Kennedy planned that day to announce a joint Russian-American manned space mission to the Moon. And the mission would involve a new so-called Ripple Technology that had been perfected during the Operation Dominic nuclear tests, largely conducted over the Pacific, from 1958-61.
Farrell says the final test — the Housatonic Test on Oct. 30 1962 — used a hydrogen bomb detonated by a fusion reaction, touched off by a short, intense nuclear blast. The test was declared 99.9 percent clean — demonstrating cold fusion could produce not only the strongest space rockets, but provide an unlimited and largely environmentally safe source of power.
