Finland’s Gross Failure

Finland’s Universal Basic Income experiment made worldwide headlines in 2017 when it was introduced but has unsurprisingly failed and will be discontinued. The project involved Finland’s government providing roughly $690 every month to 2000 unemployed citizens with no strings attached. Stefan Molyneux explains why such programs are doomed to failure and how welfare by any other name is still immoral income redistribution.

European Union Revolt

A bloc of 12 European nations has formed a coalition to stop Germany and France from wielding so much power and control over the European Union. Dr. Steve Turley says four of the nations, the Visegrad Four, are in Eastern Europe: Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Then there are eight in the northern half of the continent, the Eight Northern Lights: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden and Netherlands. It’s possible Italy might also take part, after its new election firmed up power for nationalists there.

LOU LOU D’VIL

From Finland, comes Lou Lou D’Vil who cracks a mean whip to break through the chill of the Arctic Circle. She has toured from Sydney to New Orleans, from Tallinn to Milan, often accompanied by the band Sami Saari & The Teasers to reincarnate the golden age of burlesque and live music. Her hallmark traits: An exotic beauty, blazing eyes and an aura of notoriety as she brings seductive new twists to bump’n’grind burlesque.

At the 2011 London Burlesque Gala, she blew away the crowd with her hard-throbbing Bettie Page tribute.

Just last month, she unveiled another tribute, to Jada, the red-headed fox who was a star at Jack Ruby’s Carousel Club in Dallas.

CHERRIE A DORABLE

From Finland, comes Cherrie A Dorable, “The Pearl Borealis.” With her luminous blonde hair, milky white skin and voluptuous, hourglass figure, she stands out in the burlesque scene.  Her stage charisma is rousing and her classy dancing style evokes the golden age of burlesque. She also is one-half of the superduo, Holy Curves!, with the red-hot Olivia Rouge. Go! Girl! Go! — Seis

Today’s dancer isn’t from the movies, but from real life. She’s Anastasia Skukhturova, a tall and luscious Russian, and this past weekend, she won the Second Annual Pole World Cup, defeating 60 pole-dancing competitors from 25 nations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Attack of the Air Guitarists

The scantily clad Justin “Nordic Thunder” Howard shows off his chops as he wins the Air Guitar World Championship this past weekend in Oulu, Finland. Howard, one of two Americans in the final rounds, defeated 17 other competitors for the top prize. The contestants came from as far away as Japan. Local favorite Jaakko “The Colossal” Härkönen of Finland placed fifth.
