Confrontation 101

As one of the first Tea Party members, Wild Bill for America adheres to a policy of speaking the truth boldly and encouraging others to do so. The former Colorado law enforcement officer here discusses recent attempts to prevent patriots from staging a peaceful protest. Wild Bill’s message: Know your rights, and exercise them.

2nd American Revolution

Vice surveys the conservative resistance movement — from Tea Parties  in Texas, to Oathkeeper rallies in Massachusetts, to the followers of faux-libertarian Alex Jones, with his dire, conspiratorial warnings of a pending New World Order. How dangerous is the threat of a totalitarian government, and can the public mobilize to safeguard our freedoms? Are we on the brink of a 2nd American Revolutionary War?

Time to Smoke the Liberals

Remember Mel Gibson rallying the Scottish Highlanders in Braveheart? Breitbart reporter, CNN contributor and Tea Party organizer Dana Loesch channels that fiery spirit in a pep talk she gave 6,500 FreedomWorks grassroots activists attending a bootcamp earlier this month in Cincinnati, Ohio. “I’m in it to win,” Loesch says. “I want to walk away in November and, figuratively speaking, I want my opponents to be nothing but a smoking pile of ash.”

Bear her words in mind on Nov. 6. There are an estimated 41 million Tea Party supporters in America, representing 31 percent of the electorate — a larger bloc by far than the 25 million American voters who identify themselves as liberals. We outnumber them, so now’s not the time to get demoralized by skewed polls produced by biased, left-leaning media outlets. Now’s the time to mobilize, get out the vote and smoke ’em.

Ayn Rand Vs. Big Government

“The government is the biggest violator of our rights today.” That’s the word from Yaron Brook, co-author of Free Market Revolution and president of the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights.

At FreedomFest 2012, Reason.TV’s Matt Welch sat down with Brook to discuss why big government hurts the poor and how Ayn Rand inspired the Tea Party. Rand is as popular today as ever, Brook says, noting that 1.5 million copies of her novel Atlas Shrugged have sold since President Barack Obama’s election in 2008.

Big Brother Democrats

Democrats in Wisconsin have crossed the line in their efforts to oust “Tea Party” Republican Congressman Reid Ribble.  For some time, the Democrats have hounded Rep. Ribble by sending out cameramen to record his every speech and public appearance. The video below is but one of many examples, as a Democratic operative packing a camera trails the Congressman each step of the way while he works a crowd at a job fair. But now these political paparazzi have upped the ante by bird-dogging Ribble as he shopped at a grocery store, and on June 18, by posting raw footage showing the exterior of his home.

What’s next for the Donkey Kongers? Aerial drone shots tracking Ribble’s movements? Secret web-cams aimed at urinals inside U.S. Capitol Building restrooms? The mind boggles, but it’s clear that these creepy surveillance tactics not only violate the bounds of decency, but represent a gross invasion of privacy, unbecoming any “reputable” political party in the United States.
