Paramount Now Buying CNN

The forces at Netflix aligned with Barack Obama have withdrawn their offer to buy CNN, making it appear likely the network will instead become part of Paramount.  That could spell doom for the left-leaning members of the CNN staff because Paramount is under the control of companies and owners who have been much more favorable to President Donald Trump.

In particular, the figures to watch are Larry and David Ellison. They aren’t brothers, but they are a father-and-son team, both behind Paramount and both somewhat in Trump’s orbit. David is a film producer, while Larry is best known as a co-founder of the Oracle Corporation.

Paramount is bidding to buy Warner Brothers Discovery, the parent company of CNN, so CNN is hardly the only property whose future is at stake. Here’s more from Benny Johnson.

Market Call For Warners Bros.

The rumors are true. Warner Bros. Discovery is officially up for sale.

It’s unclear who the buyer will be — but Skydance / Paramount seems like the most likely buyer.

Chopping Block Awaits CNN

Who’s the only news staffer at CNN to get a raise so far this year? Would you believe Scott Jennings, the lone Republican pundit among that network of leftists?

Meanwhile, big payroll cuts and even layoffs await these leftists. Gunnar Wiedenfels, the chief financial officer of Warner Brothers Discovery, will be applying the scalpel to the CNN rejects.
