Mailing It In

On a recent trip to the local post office in Sherman Oaks, California, political commentator Bill Whittle walked in with a large amount of unmetered packages and expected the worst. But he was pleasantly surprised. First off, Whittle says he was astonished that every teller position was manned and the employees courteous. Imagine that in this day and age of crankiness.

Furthermore, Whittle says, “The line kept moving, and since it was late in the day, they closed the doors, worked through the line and then the rest of the tellers divided up the rest of the packages I had and I stood there, the only customer in a United States Post Office. And I said, ladies and gentlemen, please forgive me for saying this but I’ve been coming to post offices for almost 50 years now and I have never been waited on by four people at the same time.”

Tune in for the conclusion of Whittle’s sojourn to the post office in this edition of “Afterburner” on PJTV.

Obamacare Worst Yet to Come

Five years into the Obama presidency, the economy continues to sputter, our welfare- and food stamp-participant levels are at record levels and our health care system is in turmoil. But the worst is yet to come, says Bill Whittle in this edition of “Afterburner” on PJTV.

“This lying fraud (Obama) recently postponed the really egregious parts of Obamacare until after the coming election in 2014,” Whittle says. “The tens of millions–50 million, 60, 80 million–of cancellations that were scheduled in February have been pushed back to December, just a few weeks after the midterm elections.” Listen in as Whittle explains why everything might be lost if we don’t act soon.

Don’t Mess With Texas

Bill Whittle’s Thanksgiving visit to his native Texas reminded him how much we are blessed to live in a free country. But the same can’t really be said about California, where the bureaucrats are destroying any sense of liberty. “The entire state (of California) is a Fun Free Zone, and violators will be prosecuted,” says Whittle, who says he’s lived a third of his life in the Golden State. Now, he says, the Peoples Republic of California is awash in permits and ordinances and resolutions, making it awfully difficult to enjoy your freedom. Check out the rest of Whittle’s take in the edition of “Afterburner” on PJTV.

The Reality of Obamacare

As the Affordable Care Act fiasco continues to multiply with insurance cancellations, a glitch-infested website and a continuous string of  lies from the Obama administration, PJ Media’s Bill Whittle weighs in with his assessment of the disaster with what he describes is “The Hammer of Reality.” Whittle says, “The Hammer of Reality is a great friend and a terrible foes. Reality, you see, says that health care is not, in fact, free. It’s a commodity. It’s something that’s bought and sold the same way the Democratic Party buys and sells votes. And if you’re going to expand coverage to people who do not have it, and increase the scope of that coverage and also destroy the entire idea of actuarial tables with pre-existing condition exemptions, well, that’s going to cost money.” Join Whittle in this edition of “Afterburner,” as he roots out the problems associated with Obamacare.

Shhhh! No Cheering

A new theory in child development is ushering in an unforeseen era in youth athletics–no cheering. The phenomenon, known as “Silent Saturday,” prohibits parents and fans from cheering or jeering at sports games for youth to ensure that children are protected from the sting of losing. The theory doesn’t sit well with PJ Media’s Bill Whittle, who explains in this edition of “Afterburner” that the new development may well have an adverse affect on men in society.

Non-Essentials Scare Dems

With Congress awash in gridlock, and no end in sight, there is one aspect of the government shutdown that has Democrats and President Obama quaking in their collective boots.  In this edition of “Afterburner,” Bill Whittle explains that 17 percent of the federal workforce are non-essential workers, and if the government shuts them down, President Obama and the Democratic Party fear no one will really notice. “If the American people become fully aware of the fact that they can get along just fine without the non-essential 17 percent of the federal government, then they may start asking why they can’t have 17 percent of their taxes returned to them,” Whittle says.

‘You Ought to Go Home’

Earlier this year, in the volatile airspace of the Middle East, an Iranian F-4 fighter jet set its sights on a U.S. predator drone with intentions of blowing it out of the sky. Suddenly, out of thin air, the Iranian aircraft was flanked by an American F-22 Raptor, perhaps the most sophisticated and powerful jet on the planet. The American pilot calmly switched to the Iranian radio frequency and advised. “You really ought to home.” The stunned Iranian heeded the advice immediately. Says Bill Whittle in this edition of “Afterburner,” “Now, to some people, this is exactly the kind of showboating bravado that gets us into wars. But for those of us with a passion for history, especially the lessons of history, this is something different. For us, this is the kind of showboating bravado that keeps us out of wars.” Whittle points out the elements and players involved in this pseudo showdown.

Is History Repeating Itself?

Can President Obama’s appeasement foreign policy tendencies lead to the same outcome that doomed Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and the United Kingdom in 1938? Chamberlain’s infamous Plan Z, a secretive plan to negotiate with Adolf Hitler personally, failed miserably.

Is Obama on the same path to failure in the Middle East? Says Afterburner’s Bill Whittle, “We live in dangerous times. But I have never seen weakness like this advertised on the part of America. Our adversaries have seen this, acted on it, succeeded and will continue to act on it.”
