U.S. Supreme Court: Up Next!
The Trump administration is pressing its case with the U.S. Supreme Court to remove Hampton Dellinger from the U.S. Treasury Department. Trump had fired Biden-appointee Dellinger as chief of the Office of Special Counsel for the Treasury Department. But Democratic-appointed, appellate justices –including U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson — have insisted that Dellinger keep his old job.
Finally, it looks as if the U.S. Supreme Court will get the case. Hopefully, they will confirm Trump’s powers to appoint his own administrative team and he can move forward, having won a popular majority of the vote in 2024.
Also in this video: Justices continue to squabble about legality of the actions by DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who’s usually a leftist pushover, is hearing the case, but it doesn’t look like she will grant the request by several leftist states that oppose DOGE.
