Is Film Industry Self-Imploding?

“COVID was a really dark time for me and for a lot of people,” said Rob Schneider. For the famous comedian and actor, the years of the pandemic were a time to take stock of what had become of America, speak up about it—and even write a book.

You Can Do it! Speak Your Mind, America was published in September 2024. “If we’re going to continue to have a free society, it’s going to require people to step up and be courageous,” Schneider said.

Schneider, who is also a screenwriter and director, rose to prominence as a cast member and writer of NBC’s Saturday Night Live. He earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his writing on the show.

In this episode, he reflected on our current political and cultural moment. What really happened when Rob bumped into Robert De Niro at the SNL reunion? What is the role of comedy in an age of outrage? And how do we turn around the tribalism he sees gripping America? Here’s more as Schneider appears on American Thought Leaders, from the Epoch Times.

Boom! Hollywood Roasted

Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes 2020 roasted Hollywood. The crowd, of course, got offended. More from Ovation Eddie.

Says The Quartering, “I don’t give any attention to Hollywood award shows but when Ricky Gervais has a monologue I look forward to it and yikes did he not hold back at all.”

Everyone knows that everyone laughs at Hollywood – except maybe Hollywood. This may no longer be the case, however – all thanks to a Limey who loves free speech absolutely deuce-nuking a crowd of Yanks who hate America. More from John Ward.

Rise of the Witches

Everywhere you look, they are desensitizing us to the world of witches. A Call for an Uprising cites some of the references from popular TV shows. There’s also the widespread fascination with the Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism, by Madonna, Adriana Grande and others.

And speaking of TV, Mark Dice actually watched the Emmy Show on Monday night, one of the few outside Hollywood to do so. He says there was so much virtue signaling, so many jokes against white men, such racism, that he doesn’t know if he can take it anymore. Someone ought to give him Hazard Pay.
