Is Film Industry Self-Imploding?

“COVID was a really dark time for me and for a lot of people,” said Rob Schneider. For the famous comedian and actor, the years of the pandemic were a time to take stock of what had become of America, speak up about it—and even write a book.

You Can Do it! Speak Your Mind, America was published in September 2024. “If we’re going to continue to have a free society, it’s going to require people to step up and be courageous,” Schneider said.

Schneider, who is also a screenwriter and director, rose to prominence as a cast member and writer of NBC’s Saturday Night Live. He earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his writing on the show.

In this episode, he reflected on our current political and cultural moment. What really happened when Rob bumped into Robert De Niro at the SNL reunion? What is the role of comedy in an age of outrage? And how do we turn around the tribalism he sees gripping America? Here’s more as Schneider appears on American Thought Leaders, from the Epoch Times.

Trump Pivots on Epstein Case

President Donald Trump is sending a message: He has heard the uproar from his MAGA followers, and he will attempt to rectify his position. This comes as a significant portion of the MAGA base, perhaps even a majority, has stood aghast as Trump backtracked on releasing the truth surrounding serial pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump hasn’t answered the hue and cry, but his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, the former co-chair of the Republican National Committee, did so in a conversation with Benny Johnson. Here, Matt Morse TV finds Lara Trump’s assessment persuasive, as he explains in a video entitled “This Changes Everything.”

Mark Dice revisits the subject, discussing Ghislaine Maxwell’s offer to testify before the U.S. Congress and the persistent stonewalling, mostly by Republican figures.

Dice says conservatives got the call to stay silent about it. He cites recent comments from Charlie Kirk and Dinesh D’Souza, both saying they are tired of Epstein, and now dropping the topic.

Our prediction? That ain’t going to fly.

Republicans better come up with a smarter counter-strategy and, soon. The Epstein disenchantment has taken all of the wind out of Trump’s sails. He needs to get a clear handle on this issue.  He’s spinning his jets, and going nowhere now.

There’s massive and growing support for former President Donald Trump. Comedian Jim Breuer unleashed, lampooning the leftist, anti-Trump holdouts.

Hillary Clinton became violent. She was not supposed to lose.

Flying Sucks!

Comedian Rob Schneider, of Saturday Night Live fame, strolls into the lighter side of life with a entertaining take on the petty charges customers encounter when flying commercially. Fasten your seatbelt and get ready for gut-splitting performance. Video courtesy of the Laugh Society.

The Metal Detector

Sharon Stone makes her way into the lighter side of life in this vintage clip from Saturday Night Live, where airport security suspects her of being a terrorist.

When Stone fails to make it through the metal detector to board her flight, TSA employees (Dana Carvey, Rob Schneider and Kevin Nealon) force her to remove articles of clothing, much to their delight. Prepare for plenty of laughter.

Rob Schneider Speaks Out

Comedic actor Rob Schneider is speaking out, showing exactly whose side he’s on, much to the chagrin of Hollywood. Gary Franchi of the Next News Network says The Daily Wire is reporting that the former “Saturday Night Live” icon denounced extreme COVID safety protocols in schools as a taxpayer-funded “form of child abuse.”

In a terse tweet over the  weekend, Schneider said,  “We are witnessing a new form of child abuse, bought and paid for with your tax dollars. The collapse of public schools who follow this example will surely follow.” He attached a video, shot by an elementary school teacher, that shows the dystopian measures the school district went through. Here’s more with Franchi.

SNL: A Liberal Klan Meeting

That’s how Rob Schneider characterized the current edition of Saturday Night Live. Discussing the “comedy” show, he said, “Much late night comedy is less about being funny and more about Indoctrination by comedic imposition. People aren’t really laughing at it as much as cheering on the rhetoric. It no longer resembles a comedy show, it’s more like some kind of liberal Klan meeting.” More from Fox News.
