The Fight For English

I’ve just read a deeply fascinating and provocative book that affirms something I’ve been trying to articulate for three decades!

So, join me today as I explore David Crystal’s The Fight For English and discover what the glorious anarchy of language has to teach us about the beautiful spontaneous order that defines our daily existence. Here’s more from The Corbett Report.

Wokeness A Plot To Divide Us

Comic Dave Smith tells The Jimmy Dore Show that neo-liberals are responsible for the takeover of the radical Left.

Smith says after the country elected a Black president in Barack Obama, the LGBTQ community became more mainstream and racial division seemingly subsided, matters exploded in 2012.  “Around 2012, every single media outlet and everybody with power–Hollywood, politicians, corporations–just started pushing this stuff like crazy,” Smith said.

Smith added that the movement escalated into an obsession with privilege, language and sensitivity, and pretty much destroyed the Left. More with Smith and Dore.

Are We Living Under A Spell?

Brilliant minds, such as the late Jordan Maxwell and Australian researcher Max Egan, contend that the “magic” of the words and symbols in our language have literally put us under a spell.

Jean Nolan says, “So often we just believe that mind control comes through the media or various other means, but it was programmed into the modern version of the English language.” Shockingly, Nolan adds, some researchers adamantly believe the English was created specifically for this purpose.

Nolan elaborates and discusses how the meaning of words have changed and how we use words every day that now mean something different.

The Hive Mind

This is much more than just a video. It is something like a philosophical urging – something is quite urgent, for sure. Language is being altered; ability to think truncated; individuality obliterated. This is not exaggeration but what they call ‘revolution. More from Truthstream Media.

Did Language Evolve in Caves?

Written language, the hallmark of human civilization, didn’t just suddenly appear one day. Thousands of years before the first fully developed writing systems, our ancestors scrawled geometric signs across the walls of the caves they sheltered in. Paleoanthropologist and rock art researcher Genevieve von Petzinger has studied and codified these ancient markings in caves across Europe. The uniformity of her findings suggest that graphic communication, and the ability to preserve and transmit messages beyond a single moment in time, may be much older than we think. Von Petzinger shares her research in a Ted Talk.
