Russia Hit By Military Mutiny

The head of the Wagner mercenary group has claimed he is inside the army HQ in southern Russia’s Rostov-on-Don and that his fighters control the city’s military sites, including an aerodrome, after vowing to bring down Moscow’s top brass. Here’s more from The Telegraph.

Styxhexenhammer666 says beware of any news leaking out of Russia, particularly news filtered through the fog of war. We can expect plenty of disinformation and propaganda, rival claims and counterclaims, from all of the feuding parties. So it will be some time before we know exactly what’s happening and what’s likely to follow.

Here, Steve Turley gives us a deeper dive into the background rivalries that precipitated this uprising.  It is not something new, but an eruption of long-festering tensions. Bear in mind, Prigozhin is not leading a coup attempt, but a mutiny of sorts aimed at Russia’s military leadership. Turley cites analysts who believe Prigozhin is acting in a shadowy way on behalf of Western powers.

New Twist In Covid Probe

Investigative journalist Jeffrey Jaxon reports another blockbuster subplot has surfaced in the origin of the Covid-19 investigation. Jaxen says according to an article in The Telegraph, based in the United Kingdom, Wuhan Lab scientists planned to release skin-penetrating nanoparticles and aerosols containing novel chimeric spike proteins into cave bats in Yunnan, China, 18 months before the first coronavirus cases appeared.

More eerily, scientists wanted to create chimeric viruses, genetically enhanced to infect humans more easily, and requested $14 million from DARPA to fund the work. “This takes the conversation into hyperspace,” Jaxen says. “It’s out and there’s a lot of mainstream outlets really reporting on this.” He adds the bid for the plan was submitted by none other than Peter Daszak, of U.S.-based EcoHealth Alliance and the man at the center of the gain-of-function controversy. More from Jaxen and HighWire host Del Bigtree on the Chembuster channel.

This Will Never End

A news story recently trending on social media via The Telegraph in the United Kingdom, claims alleged coronavirus cases are falling dramatically and experts don’t know why. World Alternative Media’s Josh Sigurdson says the story is a mix of insanity and hilarity, considering that the so-called cases they speak of were never cases. It’s a maniacal cycle that seemingly will never end.

As we entered frigid winter months and the influenza season, more people became susceptible to common colds and the flu, not the coronavirus. The problem actually began with the PCR tests and all the false positives it spit out, then throttled out to a massive amount of cycles or amplifications. In more simple terms, the tests have been giving people a diagnosis based on the cold and flu.

Now, the cold and flu season is coming to an end, so there are less sick people, which means less positive tests for viruses or bacterial issues, thus COVID-19 cases are dropping. Here’s more with Sigurdson, who lays the wood on the so-called experts.

How Did Mummies Sound?

When Egyptian priest Nesyamun died more than 3,000 years ago his departing wish was that he be allowed to speak in the afterlife so he could address his gods, and be granted entry into eternity.

Now, with the help of science, the holy man has indeed found his voice after death.

Academics at Royal Holloway, University of London, University of York and Leeds Museum scanned the mummy of Nesyamum, 3D printed his vocal tract then played soundwaves through it to create an impression of how the priest might have sounded.

So far, the only noise they’ve created is a nondescript bleat, sounding something like ‘beh’ but the researchers are hoping to use computer modelling to recreate words and even sentences.

The experts said it allowed people to ‘make direct contact with ancient Egypt by listening to a sound from a vocal tract that has not been heard for over 3000 years.’

And they want to eventually try the technique on other famous ‘heads’, and bring back the voices of notable figures. More from The Telegraph.

Taiwan Legislators Brawl

If you thought American politics have become overheated, check out the action in Taiwan, where lawmakers exchanged punches and threw water at each other ahead of an expected vote authorizing a referendum on whether to go ahead with the construction of a fourth power plant. The fracas pitted the pro-referendum forces of President Ma Ying-jeou’s ruling Nationalist Party against strongly anti-nuclear forces affiliated with the main opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)..
