With nearly every moderate Democrat coming out in support of impeachment, we are left wondering why they would take an action that is unpopular in their district if impeachment is guaranteed to fail anyway?

The reality is that Democrats know they are going to lose and they have decided to stage a final kamikaze against Trump and the Republicans.

Under Trump auto manufacturing has returned to Detroit, we are living in the longest economic expansion in US history, unemployment is down, wages are up, and the Democrats are out of arguments.

New poll after new poll are showing growing public opposition to the Democrats’ impeachment drive. Only the Democrats want it. Not only are Republican voters soundly opposed, but so are independents. Only 36 percent of independents favor impeachment while 58 percent are against the proceedings. Impeachment a Red Herring

The impeachment push is going to become an albatross for the Democrats in 2020. They hate Trump so much that ever Democrat candidate is having to embrace impeachment. But the public at large — both Republicans and independents — are deeply disturbed and turned off by this move. Not only did the Mueller report show there was no Russian collusion, but Americans are enjoying our surging wages, improving economy and increased productivity, so we really want the Democrats to drop the monkey business and get back to work. The Minimum Wage Cruelty

The much-debated $15 minimum wage became the law of the land for millions of citizens in California and New York, but the real impact of the legislation could be devastating. George Mason University economist Don Boudreaux, like a majority of economists, is a staunch believer in the economic theory that if you raise the price of something, everything else being equal, you get less of it.

Thus implementing the $15 minimum wage will destroy jobs for the least skilled members in the workforce. “The vast majority of studies on the minimum wage, I’m estimating 70 percent, show a significant negative effect on minimum wages on the employment of unskilled workers, usually proxy by teen-agers,” Boudreaux says. But not only do you have job loss, Boudreaux reasons, the unskilled workforce, almost 4 percent of them under the age of 25, will lose the valuable opportunity to gain experience in the workplace.
