His departure brought out jeers from Elon Musk, who Gets The LAST LAUGH! Here’s more from Josiah Rises.
We are sleepwalking into disaster. Computer scientist Stuart Russell, who wrote one of the top college textbooks on artificial intelligence, says, ‘We are looking at 80% unemployment due to AI.’”
Here, Greg Hunter discusses this looming calamity with Hajnen Payson, who operates the YouTube channel AI News & Strategy. “This could be nightmarish. . ..,” says Payson. “Where is this going? Nobody really knows. . .. Never in recorded history have we been at a crossroads like this.”
There is much more in the 62-minute interview on Hunter’s channel USAWatchdog.com.
Amazon, who famously promoted a high hourly rate to gain workers, is now set to eliminate 30,000 jobs in favor of artificial intelligence automation.
This is a prime example of how artificial intelligence can be used in a negative way. Glenn Beck doesn’t think American citizens will take too kindly to this…
John Stossel says a few years ago, he reported that Seattle’s minimum wage hike killed jobs. Now, California is making the same mistake.
Stossel says fast food workers in California fought hard for a $20 minimum wage and they won. Now they have to face the unintended consequences: Job loss, higher prices, automation replacing people, and fewer opportunities for the young and unskilled. Will politicians ever learn? Here’s his report.
Sean Reynolds, host of News for Reasonable People, says California fast-food chains, particularly Pizza Hut, will be laying off employees at a record pace, while hiking food prices as the the state’s new $20 minimum wage for employees.
What else did you expect from Commiefornia? Says Reynolds, “A lot of people are going to get fired and you, as the consumer, are going to pay closer to that $18 Big Mac than you want to, as prices rise.” The wage hike, which takes effect April 1, is applicable to businesses with 60 or more locations nationwide, aims to aid workers amidst rising living costs.
But Reynolds says the move by the fast-food chains is sparking debate over its potential impacts. Critics argue that while the wage increase might seem beneficial on paper, it could lead to job losses, higher consumer prices and a shift towards third-party delivery services, as companies strive to manage increased labor costs. The [Deep State] is now making their move. They have now introduced Taylor Swift into the mix, hoping that the young generation will vote for Biden. This will fail. Trump has the ultimate weapon: Reality.
Those who are working and are struggling will see that Taylor Swift is out of touch. As we approach war and the economy breaks down, the people will no longer respond to celebrities. This push will fail, which will then introduce the change of batter. Everything will come into focus. Here’s more from the X22 Report.
It was denied for months, but now it’s clear: The Democrats hope to harness of Taylor Swift to sag up their failing election fortunes. Is she popular enough to carry these flatulent turkeys? Here’s more from Paul Joseph Watson.
House Democrats recently passed a $15 minimum wage bill nationally and conflicting reports say that we could lose up to 1.3 Million jobs or not lose any jobs at all.
One of the biggest proponents of a federal $15 minimum is Bernie Sanders who is now caught in a conundrum over his own staffs pay. Some staffers are reportedly quitting over not receiving a “living wage.” Many are saying that the long hours result in only getting $11-$13 an hour.
With the passing of the federal bill moderate and even far left Democrats agree on increasing the minimum, the question that arises is why isn’t Bernie putting his money where his mouth is?
Minimum wage increases are not even socialist or far left policy wise, it is a general left wing position to increase base pay to require employers to pay more. They argue without government mandate they won’t and perhaps there is no better example than Bernie Sanders who apparently doesn’t even pay his own staff $15
Republicans, on the other hand, disagree so I doubt we will see anything other than conservatives calling out the hypocrisy of the Sanders camp, though I think Bernie and his campaign will likely rectify the situation quickly.
The reality is that this story reveals how complicated it is to negotiate wages. Staff will always want more and Employers will always want to pay less. More from Tim Pool.
When Bernie Sanders is rated most favorably among Democratic candidates, then you know your party has gone down the tubes. These losers better prepare for another wailing party in 2020. They have a major crisis on their hands. More from Styxhexenhammer666.
The much-debated $15 minimum wage became the law of the land for millions of citizens in California and New York, but the real impact of the legislation could be devastating. George Mason University economist Don Boudreaux, like a majority of economists, is a staunch believer in the economic theory that if you raise the price of something, everything else being equal, you get less of it.
Thus implementing the $15 minimum wage will destroy jobs for the least skilled members in the workforce. “The vast majority of studies on the minimum wage, I’m estimating 70 percent, show a significant negative effect on minimum wages on the employment of unskilled workers, usually proxy by teen-agers,” Boudreaux says. But not only do you have job loss, Boudreaux reasons, the unskilled workforce, almost 4 percent of them under the age of 25, will lose the valuable opportunity to gain experience in the workplace.
Boudreaux joins host Nick Gillespie to further explain the conundrum in this edition of Reason.TV.
