Dum Spiro

A Roman courier has been given a life-and-death message to carry to the opposing Goths, but to reach their camp, he must find a way to get past the biggest, baddest bear in the forest. This animated short from France brings to mind the vintage, rock-em, sock-em Looney Tunes cartoons. It’s the brainchild of five students from ESMA  — Boris Caillly, Brieuc Guenole, Jean-Baptiste Hardion, Thomas Lemoine and Sébastien Wackowiez.

Tweet, Tweet, Tweet

Plan to break up with your significant other? Don’t do it by Twitter.

From here on out, every 140-character or less message you create will be housed for posterity at the Library of Congress. In partnership with Twitter, the library has already preserved about 170 billion public tweets. This encompasses every public tweet from Twitter’s launch in 2006 through 2010.

Now, the next step is figuring out how to make that mountain of information accessible to the public.

In the meantime, for long-term strategic reasons, you might not want to flame anyone on Twitter. A Phone text message might be the more prudent and private option. Or why not go truly retro and make an old-fashioned crank call?

But he’s not the only movie star from France considering a move to Russia. Now, Brigitte Bardot says she might go there as well.
