As you’re all aware, hackers can easily compromise your computers. But what you may not know is how easy it’s becoming to lift sensitive data — financial records, medical charts, company trade secrets or even compromising vacation photos — off your printers, scanners and other similar devices. Obama’s Budget Debacle

Conservative, comedic songwriter Ray Stevens, well known for his parodies on hot-button political issues, takes a shot at the Obama Budget Plan. Stevens sings, “So I said let’s do what the government does. It works for them, it might work for us. So I forgot my ethics and morals, and swallowed my pride. We took out every credit card we could get, and loaded them up with maximum debt and borrowed from friends and family and even took out loans overseas.” You get the hang of it. …

And in this brief clip, Stevens quibbles with the government’s taxation policies. “If 10 percent is good enough for Jesus, well it ought to be enough for Uncle Sam,” he sings. We’ll be looking for you next Tuesday on LOL for another stroll through the lighter side of life. — The Wickel

Babes of Burlesque: 8

CATHERINE D’LISH

Extravagant costumes and elaborate props are hallmarks for the elegant Catherine D’Lish, “The Striptease Virtuoso,” who often ends her shows by taking a bubble bath in a giant champagne glass. She is considered one of the world’s premier fan dancers, performing amid a grand gilded birdcage, giant spiderweb and an eight-foot-tall waterfall complete with fountains. On the scene since 1990, she creates her own shows as well as touring widely in revues including Burlesque Fest. She appears here in The Web at the 2010 Viva Las Vegas Weekend at The Orleans Casino.

Google CEO Visits North Korea

Having already exposed practically every street corner, lamppost and cul-de-sac around the world, Google CEO Eric Schmidt just couldn’t resist visiting the planet’s most closed-off society — North Korea.

Google emphasizes that this is a personal trip by Schmidt and he’s not conducting any official company business, but several Google staffers accompanied him. So did former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who has made several previous junkets to North Korea on humanitarian missions, usually to free Westerners being held hostage by the North Koreans. Publicly, the Obama Administration sought to discourage the trip, but one wonders if they gave Richardson any backdoor messages to carry to Kim Jong-un. H/T Wall Street Journal

Al “Jazeera” Gore’s Sellout

Dick Morris, who used to work for Al Gore, lays into his old boss for selling Current TV to Al Jazeera for $500 million. Al Jazeera wants a platform to promote Islamic jihad right smack in the United States, Morris warns. But already some powerful opposition is materializing to the deal. Time Warner cable carried Current TV but says it won’t carry Al Jazeera’s broadcasts. Will other cable and satellite systems follow suit and snub the Arab propagandists? Stay tuned.
