Deep

Attorney General Bill Barr asks a pertinent question. Why did the agents and hierarchy in the FBI who abused the FISA courts continue down the same path after the 2016 election? They already knew — or should have known — they were committing crimes. Why persist and compound their malfeasance? In Pursuit of Truth goes deep to try to ferret out the skullduggery.

Former President Barack Obama awards a $350 million, no-bid Common Core contract to Pearson Publishing. And Pearson, in return, gives Obama and his wife, Michelle, $65 million to publish their respective memoirs. JustInformed Talk has more scuttlebutt.

FBI Accountability Coming

A former FBI supervisor, Frank Watt, has published his assessment: It’s impossible that the 17 errors in the FISA applications against Carter Page were merely a slip-up by a low-level lawyer. The story appeared in the Dec. 27th edition of The American Thinker.

The 22-year veteran agent recounts that he has been responsible for multiple FISA wiretap applications and all such applications go through multiple layers of review to be sure zero errors are in them, much less 17. More from Bill Still.

The Media Lies Like A Rug

In case you haven’t noticed, the mainstream media lies like a rug. They’ve had their heads shoved up the asses of the Liberal Democrats for so many years that they no longer can be trusted to tell the full truth. All they do is run smokescreens for the Leftists and beat down the Republicans. More often than not, this involves outright lying, as well as letting so many stories — like the Jeffrey Epstein scandal — lay silent. Here, Tim Pool dives into the morass of lies surrounding Rachel Maddow, the MSNBC anchor who never met a story she couldn’t and wouldn’t spin.

Even the Leftist Washington Post is calling Rachel Maddow into question. Thursday’s edition of the Post bashed MSNBC host Rachel Maddow for not giving up on the legitimacy of the discredited Steele dossier and not apologizing to her audience for being wrong.

Post Media Critic Eric Wemple – yes the same Eric Wemple whose face graces the coffee mug given out as a prize to the winners of Tucker Carlson’s quiz game – whatever that is called – noted that according to the Horowitz report, the corroboration for the Steele dossier was – according to the FBI – literally zero.

According to Wemple, Horowitz: “… wanted the public to come away with the impression that the dossier was a … charade of a document. Viewers of certain MSNBC fare were surely blindsided by the news, if they ever even heard it.” More from Bill Still.

The problem, according to Lionel Nation: The journalism you were taught is dead. Journalists are not objective observers. They are shrill Leftist gadflies. They think they are smarter than you. But they are merely paid propagandists.

Biden Refuses To Comply

Looks like Joe Biden doesn’t want to appear before a Senate panel for President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial. He’s refusing to comply with Senate Leader Mitch McConnell’s demand to testify. Is this Biden being ornery or deflecting from his corruption in the Ukraine? More from H.A. Goodman.

Habits of Original Thinkers

Have you ever wondered how creative people come up with such great ideas? To help answer this question, organizational psychologist Adam Grant honed in on the originality of these creators. Surprisingly, he came across three unexpected habits of originals, including embracing failure. “The greatest originals are the ones who fail the most, because they’re the ones who try the most,” Grant says. “You need a lot of bad ideas in order to get a few good ones.” Here’s more from TED.
