Vine Is So Back!

Twitter founder Jack Dorsey is bringing back Vine as the DiVine app, and is even posting hundreds of thousands of classic Vines from the early 2010s.

DiVine will obviously not be a platform for Elon Musk, but will also ban AI-generated videos. Here’s more from Clownfish TV.

Activist Journos Get The Boot

‘Woke’ activist journalists f*ck around and find out. After Conde Nast effectively shut down the trash fire that was Teen Vogue, the terminated union employees confronted the HR manager and filmed themselves harassing him. And, of course, those employees were also fired. Here’s more from Clownfish TV.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: Remember how long ago it was when you could actually read Wired? Well, neighbor, that’s too long — ago!)

The End Of Internet Privacy

Are we getting close to VPNs being outlawed?

The United Kingdom seems to be creeping toward a ban in the interest of “safety” for minors and to push digital ID. But it’s not just the United Kingdom. Michigan is also kicking around the idea of a VPN ban, and it’s Republicans who are pushing for it.

So is this the end of privacy on the Internet? It does feel like we’re inching closer and closer to a surveillance state. I have concerns. Here’s more from Clownfish TV.

The Kids Are Not Okay

Today I’m paying homage to Mr. Rogers. He was a pillar of my childhood and a positive force for children all over the world.

I’ll compare his work with the work of those creating children’s entertainment today and oh my goodness is the difference stark! Here’s more from Amanda Ekpunobi.

Grokipedia: Blind Rage!

Elon Musk has dropped the beta of Grokipedia, an AI-powered Wikipedia competitor and the media is already taking potshots at it by calling it “alt-right.”

Wikipedia has their own page up about Grokipedia, and it’s exactly what you would expect from Wikipedia.

We pull up a few pages and do a comparison of how an unbiased AI parses information vs. a biased human, and the difference is pretty startling. Here’s more from Clownfish TV.

Google Caught Red-Handed

Google has been using AI to falsely smear Republicans and conservatives. Trained on leftwing sites like Wikipedia and Reddit, the AI (artificial intelligence) not only is biased against conservatives, but even goes so far as to lie, slander and defame conservatives. But no more!

Robby Starbuck, a conservative social media activist and former music video director for bands including Smashing Pumpkins, has sued Google over the harassment. Starbuck says he doesn’t have a criminal record or face any charges at all, but Google’s AI has maligned him as a perpetrator of “sexual assault, child rape, abuse, fraud, stalking, drug charges, and even saying I was in Epstein’s flight logs.”

Starbuck’s suit,  filed in Delaware Superior Court, seeks $15 million from Google. Starbuck said that the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last month made him realize “some crazy person could believe this stuff,” prompting him to set the record straight.

He says his lawyer sent multiple letters to Google asking them to correct the problem, but the company did nothing. The lawsuit claims, “Google’s lies about Mr. Starbuck are not simply glitches: when probed, Gemini (one of Google’s AI programs) admitted that it was deliberately engineered to damage the reputation of individuals with whom Google executives disagree politically, including Mr. Starbuck.” Here’s more from The Quartering.

RIP PBS

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is set to shut down in January, closing its doors due to a lack of federal funding. Some show, like Sesame Street, will continue on new platforms, but other programs will fade and disappear along with the entire network.

Here, Mr. Reagan celebrates what PBS might have become if it ever had strived to enter the private sector and break free from its dependence on taxpayer dollars.
