Cracking The Stone Age Code

Here is a BBC documentary called Cracking The Stone Age Code. It was first aired on October 31, 1970. Professor Alexander Thom asserts his theory that Stonehenge and other megalithic sites were used to record time and predict solar and lunar eclipses.

Host Magnus Magnusson looks at Thom’s evidence and hears what different archaeologists think of the suggestion that Stone Age Britons could make such elaborate calculations. If Thom’s theory is correct, previous archaeological certainties about the knowledge and ability of people in the Stone Age would be overturned.

Lunatics Never Look Up!

Clif High returns with a wild, but also quite intriguing video exploring the idea that the moon is an artificial satellite, put into place a quarter million years ago or so, to serve as a post for observing humans.

High believes space aliens live on the moon. Perhaps they are Reptilian creatures as David Icke has postulated, but High isn’t certain about their concrete form. But he does believe they can toy around with our emotions and energies, causing us to act up and become more violent. They can also wreak havoc with the weather and tides on the Earth.

Archaeological evidence from truly ancient human settlements, located in India’s Harappan Valley, show people  lived without war toys. These settlements predated the moon’s arrival.

Where did this satellite come from? Who occupies it? Do they live inside hollows or do they use camouflage to render us unable to see their dwellings? High raises these questions, but doesn’t give pat answers. He does believe the moon will factor heavily in “vast quantities of chaos” looming ahead over the next year. This video is the latest installment in High’s Explorers’ Guide to SciFi World.

India’s Genetic Ancestry

Archaeological, linguistic and recent genetic evidence indicates that most of the ethnic groups in India descend from a mixture of at least two very distinct populations in the history of the Indian subcontinent, but where did each of these groups originate from and when did this admixture take place? Here’s more from Robert Sepehr, author and archaeologist.

Oldest Sites In The New World

A team of archaeologists who have been searching for proof of the earliest human presence in North America for decades made a stunning discovery off the northern Pacific coast of Canada. Sonar images obtained by the team show ancient camps, dating back almost 14,000 years, which would make them the oldest remains in Canada. Further sonar images have suggested that the site might yield even more ancient artifacts and structures, possibly even the oldest in the New World. More from Zohar StarGate’s Ancient Discoveries.

Mystery Behind Sun Temple

Six miles southwest of Cairo, just north of Abusir, is one of only two Old Kingdom sun temples known to have survived, although it is believed that many others existed and were destroyed, fell into ruin, or haven’t been found yet. The building of sun temples was the result of a gradual rise in importance of the sun-god.

This ancient site is connected to stories of strange magnetic anomalies, portals and contact with mysterious beings, but what do we really know about this ancient temple? Was advanced sound technology employed in its construction? More from Zohar StarGate’s Ancient Discoveries.

Cleopatra’s Hidden Tomb

Archaeologists have been puzzling over the whereabouts of Cleopatra’s tomb since she was last seen in her mausoleum in the legendary deathbed tableau, adorned with diadem and royal finery and reposed on what Plutarch described as a golden couch. After Caesar’s assassination, his heir Octavian battled Antony for control of the Roman Empire for more than a decade; following Antony and Cleopatra’s defeat at Actium, Octavian’s forces entered Alexandria in the summer of 30 B.C.

Cleopatra barricaded herself behind her mausoleum’s massive doors, amid stores of gold, silver, pearls, art, and other treasures that she vowed to torch lest they fall into Roman hands. Now armed with new information, researchers and archaeologists have cast their eyes to the Taposiris Magna Temple, where her tomb may be hidden. More from Zohar StarGate’s Ancient Discoveries.
