China-YouTube Join Forces

Can you guess who China’s new propaganda partner is? If you said YouTube, you’re right on the money. Given the lengths the CCP goes to control the narrative on China inside and outside the country, the move doesn’t seem that unusual.

China Uncensored’s Chris Chappell reports China has effectively co-opted all the media in China through strict censorship and control of celebrities, but the CCP realizes most people outside of the country aren’t as likely to be snookered by Chinese influencers on Chinese social media. Enter the international influencers on Western platforms, such as YouTube, whom CCP uses to spread its message–for a generous fee, of course. More from Chappell.

China On Cusp Of Food Crisis

China appears to be on the cusp of a food crisis. Or could it be just more pandemic lockdowns that could affect their ability to get food? Either way, there’s reason to panic if you live in China.

In the following edition of China Uncensored, host Chris Chappell explains what the government is saying, why people are concerned and what a fort made out of toilet paper looks like.

CCP Final Showdown

The final showdown is under way in Beijing, where Xi Jinping faces a life and death power struggle with former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and it’s coming to a head.

The two leaders have been at each other’s throats since Jinping took power in 2003, Fact is, Jiang left, but never really relinquished power. Now factional infighting in China’s Communist Party is heating up ahead of a major meeting next year, which will decide whether Xi stays in command for a third term. Here’s more with Chris Chappell on China Uncensored.

Will Global Economy Crash?

Chinese real estate giant, Evergrande, is on the verge of bankruptcy, which might well tank the global economy. China Uncensored’s Chris Chappell says Evergrande has buried itself under an unsustainable amount of debt and it’s difficult to see any way out.

All eyes are now focusing on Beijing in hopes of a possible bailout. If not, says Chappell, we may see the crash of the global economy, similar to the financial crisis of 2008. Here’s more.

China Threatens War

An editorial in the Chinese state-run Global Times newspaper threatens war over the name change of a Taiwanese embassy. China claims Taiwan as a province of the mainland, despite it being autonomous from Beijing in almost every way.

That’s why the Chinese Communist Party gets upset when countries, groups or individuals recognize Taiwan, or the Republic of China, as an independent country. In this case, a recent report in the Financial Times said the Biden Administration has considered allowing Tapei to change the name of its Washington office to include the word “Taiwan.”  The move angered the CCP to the point where it threatened to attack Taiwan and the USA. China Uncensored’s Chris Chappell brings us the details.

China’s Climate Trap

The U.S. has made working with China on climate change a priority, because it sees China as a key to lowering global carbon emissions. But the two sides don’t see eye to eye on some issues. Where the U.S. wants to do what’s right for the environment, China sees an opportunity to demand concessions.

It makes sense for the Biden Administration to engage China on climate change, because China is a huge emitter of carbon dioxide. And the CCP says it’s willing to cooperate–for a price.  Watch out, Uncle Joe, it’s a trap! Here’s China Uncensored, with host Chris Chappell.

China Vows Counterattack

China vowed to retaliate if the U.S. continues to accuse China of leaking Covid from its lab at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Chinese Communist Party contests that the coronavirus came from Fort Detrick, in Maryland, and it has some sick beats to back it up.

China Uncensored’s Chis Chappell brings us the full story, plus a revelation from a research lab in Canada that Apple is helping the CCP censor what people can write on their phones in Taiwan and concern in a Michigan community of Chinese fluoride in its drinking water.

China’s Blame Game

As the Delta variant continues to intensify worldwide, the Chinese Communist Party is up to its old tricks, doubling down on its assertion that the coronavirus originated in United States. After all, they don’t want their citizens getting the crazy idea that it was their own government that created the virus.

CCP Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian told the Chinese state-run media in July that the U.S. should invite WHO experts to investigate Fort Detrick in Maryland and its 200-plus biolabs overseas. “Which is kind of funny,” says China Uncensored’s Chris Chappell. “That’s the same month China said it wouldn’t allow an investigation into the Wuhan Institute of Virology, but it’s calling for the U.S. to have everyone of its biolabs inspected.” Here’s the full story with Chappell.

Will China Nuke Japan?

Will China nuke Japan? That’s the loaded question after Japan said an attack by China on Taiwan would be a threat to its national security, prompting it to come to Taiwan’s defense.

In a video now circulating, China responded that any interference by Japan would result in nuclear war. China Uncensored host Chris Chappell ponders whether the video has the approval of the highest levels of government, or is this just a threat from some local Chinese Communist Party committees who aren’t thinking about the ramifications of such a threat? Tune in for more details.

China’s Dark Secret

If you look up at the night’s sky, you might see a heavenly palace floating around Earth. That’s because China has named its space station “Tiangong,” which translates to heavenly palace in Chinese.

China celebrated its first spacewalk last weekend around the Tiangong space station, but it’s just the beginning of its ambitions space program. In the following episode of China Uncensored, Chris Chappell reveals the dark side of China’s space program and why the United States and its allies are worried about what they’re doing up there.
