Closing Arguments A Disaster

The prosecution in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial might be looking for a place to hide, following a disastrous performance in closing arguments. Viva Frei’s David Freiheit says the presentation was a train wreck of legal factual arguments.

“It was so bad, that you would not need to have been a lawyer, or have any legal training, or even having stayed at a Holiday Inn to know just how bad of a train wreck it was,” Freiheit says. With the prosecution’s argument shifting to provocation, Freiheit says Kenosha County, Wis., assistant DA Thomas Binger turned to what he knows best: mischaracterizing and misrepresenting the facts for the benefit of his position as prosecutor. Here’s more of Freiheit’s analysis.

Will Canada Fall Like Australia?

David Freiheit, candidate for Prime Minister of Canada running against Justin Trudeau, joins Sarah Westall to share his thoughts on the current situation in Canada and around the world. We discuss how close Canada is to falling and what he believes is needed to regain freedoms.

Gov. Whitmer Case Gets Ugly

The case for the prosecution in the kidnapping plot of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appears to be getting uglier. Viva Frei’s David Freiheit says the FBI is up to absolutely no good–supreme nastiness, some might even say.

What appeared to be an underground militia plot to kidnap Whitmer shortly before last November’s Presidential election, turned into something more like the FBI actually instigating and setting up the scheme themselves. As the case progressed, it was divulged the FBI allegedly used up to 12 informants who were paid handsomely in their roles of uncovering the plot, although it later became clear they might have had a hand in setting it up.

Freiheit reports that in the latest bombshell development, one of the FBI agents, in text messages with one of the informants, not only told the informant to lie but to also delete the texts between them. Here’s more from Freiheit, who unravels the shocking twists and turns of the case.

Gov. Whitmer Plot Thickens

The plot thickens in the kidnapping case involving Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Viva Frei’s David Freiheit reports that first, an FBI informant was indicted on felony weapons charges, followed by accusations of FBI entrapment. Now, a key FBI agent has been arrested on domestic violence charges.

Freiheit breaks down the latest disruption in the case and revisits some of Whitmer’s past controversies, such as the mysterious “8645” blocks. He explains that in the background of a public appearance, blocks with the numbers 8 and 6 were mounted over blocks 4 and 5. In restaurant parlance, “86” means to cancel or terminate and the “45” is presumably in reference to President Trump, the 45th president of the U.S. In another public appearance, a pillow with the embroidered face of Dr. Anthony Fauci was prominently displayed. Here’s more from Viva Frei.

Is Facebook A State Actor?

Can Facebook actually be a state actor?  That appears to be the case, after White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki unwittingly admitted so during a recent presser.

Viva Frei’s David Freiheit reports that Psaki said in no uncertain terms that the government is working with and controlling Facebook for the purposes of controlling certain messaging as it relates to misinformation on COVID-19 and other matters coming out of the social media giant. He says they were actually flagging misinformation posts for Facebook, not on Facebook. Unheard of! Here are the details with Freiheit.

Unconstitutional Detainment

Whether you’re a staunch conservative or a diehard liberal, you should be appalled at the circumstances surrounding the “Q Anon shaman” in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 siege on Capitol Hill. The shaman, Jacob Chansley, has been denied bail and is still detained after nearly six months. “It’s not just unconstitutional,” says David Freiheit, “it’s cruel and unusual punishment.”

Chansley, who was wearing a horned headdress and carrying what appeared to be a spear draped by the American flag, was arrested for breaching the Capitol building on Jan. 6 and remains jailed on six federal charges. Judge Royce Lamberth denied Chansley’s bail request, citing him as a flight risk. Surprisingly, Lamberth was appointed to the bench by President Reagan.

Not only is Chansley’s detainment unusually cruel, it violates his 8th Amendment rights, which reads: “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel or unusual punishment inflicted.” After reading Lamberth’s order, Freiheit says, “There can be no bail more excessive than no bail. And when you read the justification that the judge is offering to deny bail to Chansley, you’re going to realize that it has nothing to do with justice, it is purely punitive.” Here are the details with Viva Frei’s Freitheit.

Corruption And Injustice

Viva Frei’s David Freiheit presents a case of corruption and injustice, which sadly showcases the double standard in our courts these days. Don’t expect these details from mainstream media, but the following video will help explain how a man was sentenced to life in prison for aggravated robbery with a water pistol.

It’s the story of Rolf Kaestel, who served 40 years of a life sentence for robbing an Arkansas taco stand for $264. Even the victim advocated for Kaestel’s release. Here are the details with Freiheit.

Bill Cosby Released From Prison

Convicted sex offender Bill Cosby is a free man. In a shocking ruling by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Cosby’s conviction was overturned and he was released from prison on Wednesday on the basis that his due process rights were violated.

The decision revolves around the case of  victim Andrea Constand, who alleged that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2004. Constand didn’t file formal charges until 2005, presenting a mound of problems for the Montgomery County, Pa., District Attorney Bruce Castor, who determined there was not enough corroborating evidence to prosecute Cosby. So, in a public statement, he announced Cosby would not be prosecuted criminally, allowing Constand to pursue a civil case, where the iconic actor would be forced to testify under penalty of perjury and without the benefit of his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.

Cosby, 83, who had already served two years of his previous conviction, felt obliged to testify on his behalf, but made several incriminating statements during the trial. Castor’s successors determined they were not bound by his earlier decision and proceeded to use Cosby’s statements at a later criminal trial involving other victims. Viva Frei’s David Freiheit puts in all in perspective.

Trudeau Skates Again

Viva Frei’s David Freiheit says we are living through a period of institutionalized and normalized corruption. More specifically, Freiheit is beside himself that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has just dodged his third serious ethics violation since assuming office. And that doesn’t include sexual misconduct allegations and racial issues.

Which brings us to the latest charge of impropriety in the WE Charity scandal, where the charity received a government contract, without competition, to administer a $900 million student volunteer grant program. So what’s wrong with that, you ask. Well, it so happens that members of Trudeau’s family are on the WE Charity payroll. Here’s more as Freiheit unravels the details in this segment of Viva Frei.

Babbitt Family Sues Police

Viva Frei’s David Freiheit reports that the Ashli Babbitt family has filed a wrongful death civil suit against the U.S. Capitol police department and the officer who shot and killed her during the Jan. 6 siege on Capitol Hill. Babbitt was the only person shot and killed during the siege and the family is seeking damages upward of $10 million.

The officer shot Babbitt, who was unarmed, at point-blank range without any provocation. Freiheit says not only have charges not been brought against the officer, but he has not even been identified. Says Freiheit, “Compare that to other situations involving the police.” In the following video, Freiheit says the expectation is the officer will assert “qualified immunity,” which he explains in detail, and he also takes timeout to lash out the corrupt New York Times.
