Hydrogen Cars: Next Wave?

Will cars powered by hydrogen-driven combustion engines lay to waste the electric vehicle industry? Koji Sato, the CEO of Toyota, says “Our new hydrogen engine will destroy the EV industry.” Toyota has been working on hydrogen engines in collaboration with Yamaha.

These engines can be powered using water, and do not require as many rare metals as electric vehicles. Also, these new engines will be stronger and more durable than electric vehicles, so they can be used for bulldozers, earth lifters and heavy industrial vehicles. Here’s more from EarthNewspaper.com.

Shadowland…Marching On

We are about to enter the shadowlands. What’s that? It’s a period of great uncertainty and chaos. The Big Ugly. All that we have held to be normal will collapse. Not only could banks crash and financial systems, but also reliable electrical grids, or water supplies, or everyday utilities.

Here, Clif High addresses how each of us need to draft plans for how we might cope if the shit hits the fan. Do we need a backup of diesel fuel or water? How about food supplies? Precious metals? You name it. And you are the one who draws up a plan pertaining to what you need.

This is a two-part video, as an electrical outage shut down part 1 prematurely — serving to re-emphasize Clif High’s message. Among the topics addressed: The collapse of the Central Banks, The Big Ugly, the Khazarian Mafia and Russia.

A Dyson Sphere For The Sun

The ability to harness energy from the world around us, has literally fueled the technological development of the human race. And every time we got our hands on a stronger way of utilizing energy, it was major step forward for our species.

Our ancient ancestors began it all with the harnessing of fire to power their energy needs. We progressed to extracting our energy from animals, water, wind,  steam power and fossil fuels. These energies are so diverse, it’s easy to forget they emanate from the sun. Problem is, as our civilization becomes more advanced, our energy needs will increase, mostly because there will be more of us and the things we do will require more zip.

Because stars are spherical, they radiate energy in all directions, that’s why only a tiny fraction of our sun’s energy comes our way. So the possible solution to the problem could come in the way of a Dyson Sphere, a mega-structure that would completely encircle the sun and capture all of its energy. Unfortunately, because of technological limitations, building such a structure is many years away. Get more details on this phenomenal project in the following clip with Thought2.

A Glimpse At Future Earth

In 100 million years, extraterrestrial explorers will find Earth an extraordinary planet to explore. Although homo sapiens might well be extinct, they’d find high amounts of water, higher-than-expected levels of oxygen and a planet that is oddly green. Although homo sapiens survived on Earth for only about 200,000 years, future explorers will realize we left a huge mark.

“Today, scientists are more certain than ever that we’ve changed the Earth to such an extent, that geologists digging in the distant future would classify this as a totally new epoch–The Anthropocene,” says video blog host Joe Hanson. “But when would it begin? What would they find there?” Hanson solves the mysteries in this edition of It’s Okay to be Smart.
