Why is FEMA bringing 350 semi trailers into rural Michigan to store the assembled goods on an air force base abandoned in the early 1990s? That’s the question raised here by The Leak Project.
This is an attempt to do a little bit of sleuthing on a truly quirky federal agency that has been much in the news lately owing to its many strange and erratic decisions on how to handle the hurricane disasters in Florida and North Carolina. Now, you have FEMA loading up for a disaster that hasn’t happened yet. How do they know it will happen any time soon? How can they foresee its location? Which goods are they bringing and for what purpose?
The decommissioned base in question is Wurstmith Air Force Base, which operated from 1923 to 1993 in Oscoda, Michigan. That’s a small, unincorporated community –with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants — located at the mouth of the Au Sable River along Lake Huron in eastern Michigan. It’s close to the Canadian border. Is FEMA doing the same thing everywhere, or only in this location? And if so, why was it chosen?
Meanwhile, FEMA has become embroiled in a widening scandal over its treatment of pro-Trump residents in Florida. It turns out FEMA blackballed anyone who had a Trump sign whose home was damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Milton.
Those individuals were overlooked when it came to receiving disaster relief from FEMA. The agency fired a woman it said as responsible for the decision. But it turns out that woman was simply following directives issued by higher authorities outside Florida in the Joe Biden administration.
This raises the question: Did the same thing happen in North Carolina and Tennessee to victims of Hurricane Helene? Just how politicized has FEMA become under Biden’s corrupt administration? Here, U.S. Rep. Greg Steube, a Florida Republican, discusses the situation with Fox News. He says the House Oversight Committee will conduct a thorough investigation and so will Florida Gov. The Department of Homeland Security has another massive scandal on their hands amid surfacing reports that a FEMA official instructed relief workers in Florida to skip houses with Trump paraphernalia in the aftermath of Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

Here, Patara from Appalachia’s Homestead travels through Tennessee and North Carolina to show first-hand the devastation from Hurricane Helene. Both states were hit hard, but the devastation in North Carolina was particularly brutal. Patara describes it as “worse than you know.”
Much of this report centers around the mountain community of Marshall, to the northwest of Asheville. Not shown, but said to be as wrecked, were communities to the east of Asheville, including Swannanoa and Black Mountain.
Disregard the federal government’s proclamation that 213 Americans lost their lives in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The actual death toll will extend into the thousands.

Jim Willie says whatever happened in Maui is now happening on a large scale in the southeastern United States.
Appearing on Patriot Underground, Willie says there’s an ellipse measuring 1,000-by-300 miles with no electricity, the result of the recent hurricanes, and he believes this is the beginning of a Civil War. And he blames the chaos on the rogue elements, namely a number of federal agencies spearheaded by FEMA, the FBI, ATF, Secret Service and Homeland Security.
Willie says FEMA has gone totally rogue and has 30,000 officials in the storm zone. “They’re acting like soldiers, but I don’t believe they’re really soldiers because they’re shooting citizens,” Willie says. He says FEMA has now infiltrated Appalachia, where they are encountering resistance from the Northern Militia, who are shooting back.
Willie explains further and questions the death toll from the hurricanes, which he says approaches 30,000 and not 300 announced by government officials.
FEMA recently said that it had to relocate workers in the Hurricane Helene disaster zone due to threats from an “armed militia.” But was FEMA referring to the military veterans and civilian groups who are on the ground rescuing people and providing relief?
Glenn Beck speaks to the vice president of one of those groups, the United Cajun Navy, to get the truth. Brian Trascher tells Glenn, “It turns out it was the WORST militia ever because it was just one guy.”
So, why would government officials use this language, which caused leftists and the media to accuse Trump supporters of violence? “There’s been so much misinformation,” Brian says, “not just on the Internet, but from the feds also.”
