At least, not at the Oscar ceremony! Will Smith wins a best actor award but draws more attention by slapping Chris Rock. This came after the Oscar announcer made a pointed joke, seemingly insulting Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Here, The United Spot surveys the Hollywood community, from Alec Baldwin to Jussie Smollett, for reactions.
Were the gods revered by long-ago civilizations actually gods or could they have been astronauts from faraway planets? Did these visitors teach early-day man advanced secrets about the solar system and the larger universe?
Here is the Oscar-nominated 1970 documentary film based on the book by Erich von Däniken, a Swiss author who helped to popularize the notion that paleo civilizations on Earth had gained knowledge through contact with ancient astronauts.
Although the narration is sometimes staid, perhaps a bit dated nowadays, one would be hard-pressed to find a more comprehensive survey, spanning the globe from Easter Island and the Great Pyramid at Giza to the Mayan hub at Chichen Itza and Peru’s mysterious Nazca Lines. The expected coterie of academic critics have challenged von Däniken, but notice how none of these debunkers can explain how early man carved the massive pyramids and stone sculptures in the first place, let alone tell us how they ferried these gargantuan monuments, in certain cases, several hundred miles across scorching deserts.

What’s it all about?

Mack gets philosophical as he strolls through history, introducing the kabbalistic teachings of Shabetai Tzevi, Isaac Luria and Jacob Frank.
But this is not a dry Sunday school lesson. Much of the focus is on the brazan Satanic content found not only in pop music, but most forms of popular entertainment — movies, television, books, even plays and comedy skits. Also introduced: How the Oscars are an outgrowth of pagan culture, modified by the Free Masons, to reflect their peculiar traditions.
This year’s Oscar ceremony saw viewership plunge in half, down to 13 million who watched the putrid Leftist propaganda. Hollywood is failing, no longer able to reach the vast majority of Americans, not only due to the coronavirus but also the leftist stench that pervades everything coming out of that hellhole. As Hollywood prepares to showcase the 93rd Academy Awards tonight, the film industry appears to be finally owning up to its disingenuous involvement in politics. Earlier this week, an Oscar producer has come out on the record, claiming that politics is ruining show business.
It’s a narrative that’s seen Hollywood ratings tank for award shows, such as the Oscars and the Golden Globes, while numbers continue to tumble at the box office.
