Senate Within Range for GOP

Political pundit Dick Morris is making predictions again. Thirteen months after his prognostication debacle in the 2012 presidential election, in which he predicted a Romney landslide  victory, Morris says Republicans will capture the Senate in 2014.

“We need six seats to win the Senate,” he says. “Three of them, as I’ve said, are easy pickups: West Virginia, South Dakota and Montana. All three of them have retiring Democratic incumbents, very strong Republican candidates and very weak Democrats running for the seat.”  Morris said the real test will come in four crucial states: Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana and North Carolina. KALANI KOKONUTS

Originally from Alaska, Kalani Kokonuts learned the art of burlesque at the world-famous Palomino Club in Las Vegas, and remains based out of the desert city, currently appearing at the Absinthe. She says her sister gave her the nickname Kalani Kokonuts, and she kept the moniker for lack of having anything better. She’s a consummate professional who creates highly original acts, backed by Taiko drummers or involving flashes of kung-fu fighting. Explaining her approach to the art, she says, “You must get the audience’s attention in less than five seconds. If I haven’t given you goose bumps or had your complete undivided attention, I have failed.”

The Mob Hounds Olympian

Corey Cogdell, a member of the US Olympic Shooting Team, has come under fire from anti-hunting moonbats. Cogdell’s crime? She enjoys big-game hunting and has posted photos on her Facebook page showing herself with her trophy kills.

Revealing themselves to be quite bloodthirsty despite masquerading as pacifist-minded humanitarians, the twits have taken to Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, advocating violence against Cogdell and her family. Tweeted Konejira, “Please go shoot yourself in the knees. YOU ANIMAL MURDERER!! you’re a disgusting human being.” Someone else wailed, “These ppl need to be shot deheaded and posted on a wall.” A third party wrote, “I hope that someone someday shoot your whole familly just practicing.—”

Cogdell, a trap shooter from Palmer, Alaska, won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and is currently competing at the 2012 Games. Upon arriving in London, she did a Skype interview with the NRA News, discussing how she loves to use Twitter and Facebook to reach out to her fans. Wonder if her enthusiasm for social media has been tempered now that the haters have gone into hyperdrive to whip up their PETA-inspired hysteria? H/T Twitchy
