The Green New Mess

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Take their recent proposal, the Green New Deal, courtesy of freshman congresswoman from New York, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, which forebode catastrophic consequences for our country if we didn’t address the dangers of climate change.

Well, guess what? Turns out, the GND isn’t about the environment and climate change at all. Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, who personally led the writing of the proposal, told The Washington Post that the GND wasn’t originally about a climate thing at all, but about changing the entire economy.

The WeatherMen

Impeachment a Red Herring

The impeachment push is going to become an albatross for the Democrats in 2020. They hate Trump so much that ever Democrat candidate is having to embrace impeachment. But the public at large — both Republicans and independents — are deeply disturbed and turned off by this move. Not only did the Mueller report show there was no Russian collusion, but Americans are enjoying our surging wages, improving economy and increased productivity, so we really want the Democrats to drop the monkey business and get back to work. Buy Silver and Gold

Money manager Michael Pento says things are going to get much worse from here. Pento explains, “They understand when the stock market goes down, consumption and the wealth effect crumble, and the economy is going to falter. So, they are going to have to pursue a radical inflation goal. ”

So, what is going to happen to the price of gold and silver? Pento says, “When they do this and they (the Fed) have to change and go from . . . draining its balance sheet and admit that they have permanently monetized $4.5 trillion of debt, and they will only be able to increase the size of their balance sheet and never be able to drain it and never be able to raise interest rates, gold and silver that has long been suffering . . . are going to rip higher like they have never done before. Gold and silver and the mining shares are going to go like a rocket ship, higher. . . . If I was a poor guy or a rich guy who wanted to preserve his purchasing power, I would be buying physical gold and silver, and mostly gold.”
