Broke Science Behind Overkill

The Pleistocene Overkill Hypothesis — that mankind wiped out most of the era’s large animal species — is a complete joke. Yet it still gets cited today.

Let’s dig into the hypothesis, and why we still see it in use now. Here’s more from DeDunking.

Comet Apophis: Approaching

On April 13, 2029, an asteroid named Apophis will pass closer to Earth than our communication satellites. For the first time in human history, millions of people will watch a mountain-sized space rock race across the night sky.

NASA says we’re safe, but Apophis is just the beginning. Scientists estimate 25,000 city-killer asteroids cross Earth’s orbit, and they’ve only found half of them.

The other 13,500 remain completely hidden, somewhere in the darkness of space. Every three days, fragments from ancient comets bombard our planet.

Just 12,800 years ago, a cosmic impact reset human civilization and triggered a freeze that lasted over a thousand years. The evidence is buried in rock layers across four continents.

Today, we have the technology to fight back, but time is running out. The question isn’t whether another impact will happen—it’s whether we’ll be ready when it does. Here’s more from The Why Files.

Woolly Mammoth Returns!?!

Technology entrepreneur Ben Lamm and his team at Colossal Biosciences are attempting to achieve a goal that’s never been successful before: Bringing back to life an extinct breed of animal.

Using the gene-editing CRISPR technology, Lamm’s team wants to resurrect the woolly mammoth (and a few other breeds as well). But even if the technology exists, SHOULD they attempt such a feat?

In this clip, Glenn Beck challenges Lamm on the potential risks to such a project: ‘Have you ever seen Jurassic Park?!?

Are We Living in 6th Extinction?

Everything alive today is a descendant of Earth’s fifth mass extinction, when a 10-kilometer-wide asteroid smashed into the Yucatan Peninsula, wiping out 75 percent of our planet’s plants and animals 66 million years ago. This time around, we are the “asteroid.” Says Dr. Joe Hanson, “Now we’re erasing species faster than we can name them.” He explains in this episode of It’s Okay To Be Smart.

Environmental Rebellion Grows

All across the world, environmentalists are facing a growing rebellion. Why? Because these schmucks are fighting to wipe out the economies of most nations in the Western world. Whether they are in Europe, North America or Australia, the environmentalists are pushing radical attacks against industries and cars, all while totally ignoring the world’s most populated states, like the Communist Chinese or India. In other words, they are asking us to make sacrifices while Communist China and India skirt the rules and gain world domination. Dr. Steve Turley discusses the global sea change.

Piers Morgan: If climate change is a threat, why don’t you practice what you preach by reducing your carbon footprint?

“It’s not about my carbon footprint, it’s about YOUR carbon footprint” 🤦‍♂️ The epic hypocrisy of climate extremists 😂 More from PragerU.

Extinction Rebellion protesters receive backlash from sane, working-class folks. More from Paul Joseph Watson and InfoWars.

What Really Killed T-Rex?

True, a mega-asteroid was responsible for wiping out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago. But is there more to the story? SciShow’s Hank Green discusses evidence that suggests there were other factors percolating that turned a really bad day into one of the worst days in the history of the planet.

10 Rare Animals Near Extinction

They’re some of the most incredible creatures in the world, but so rare that they soon might disappear forever. In this episode, Alltime 10s features 10 animals that may go extinct in the next 10 years, including the Sumatran tiger. About 40 of these smallish tigers are killed by poachers every year, shrinking their population to 400.
